  1. SSDY 21-11 bammer at home our best win. IF we get by one Final Four team on Sunday, we'll get 4-5 days to prepare for #1. FL hit 14 threes the day prior to only hitting one against AU. As a whole, SC, MSU & FL hit 7 threes against AU. We'll be ready for the three-ball. New Mexico St. gave us all we wanted five years ago in Round 1. They pushed that team around a bit. Yale is too thin and too finesse to push this team around. We dominate them by double digits.
  2. Most likely a true road win at TN alone would have got us a 3-seed. It carried much more weight than a neutral game w Baylor. And a slight bit more than at bammer.
  3. He is simply a puppet and their metrics software is the master.
  4. I'll continue to beat the same drum. The CBB committee has stuck and will always stick to Quad 1 true road games holding priority and causing the largest jump in their rankings/seedings. If you can't beat a Quad 1 in your conference on the road, or even in a non-conference neutral game, you will remain a 4-seed at best. Everything else that you accomplish is next to meaningless.
  5. Show us where any poll and the committee have ever aligned on Selection Sunday. I'm not defending the committee's choices. Merely explaining them to the ignorant and the ones who called me out the last week for *GASP* predicting the committee would keep us a 4-seed even after winning the SEC Tournament. Speaking of ones who called me out...where is @KillenTime ? Last I heard from him, "I was on here acting like I knew something."
  6. Show us where the Kenpom and the committee have ever aligned on Selection Sunday.
  7. Because he wants to be human and say AU looks like a better team than a 4-seed down the stretch, but he can't because the metrics and math don't allow it.
  8. None of the losses should feel better. However, the loss at TN hurt us the most as it pertains to seeding. Again, that could have vaulted us from #15 to #12. In fact, it alone would have climbed the ladder higher than beating SC, MSU & FL combined for the SEC Championship.
  9. I try to get folks to see sports without their team's colored glasses on. Here's the graphic I'm referring to...as you can see...they get it right more often than they get it wrong...and in sequential fashion...
  10. A loss against a CBB powerhouse does not carry the same weight as a loss against a CFB powerhouse. You can disagree all you want, but those are the facts. If some of you will stop viewing this the same way the CFB committee views the CFB season and conference championship weekend, you'll feel a sense of clarity.
  11. Further proof that winning your conference tournament means little to nothing to the committee. Hope folks remember this next time we win the SEC instead of making "AU got hosed" the leading story.
  12. Yes. They beat two tournament teams in their non-conference schedule. We beat none.
  13. bammer played six tournament teams before hitting the SEC schedule. They went 2-4 against them. Two of those losses are a 1 and a 2 seed.
  14. We played two teams we already beat + the SEC’s 6th best team. TN & UK both losing killed our already distant remote chances at a 3-seed.
  15. Seems like Reece Davis (or someone else on the ESPN show yesterday) stated that the seeding placements are not allowed to be uniform down the ladder. Meaning #1 can’t always be aligned in the same bracket with #16, #2 with #15, #3 with #14 and #4 with #13. That they must alternate. I don’t recall the exact wording, but it was something to that effect.
  16. So what do you make of the graphic on the CBS show yesterday of all-time records of lower seeds in Round 1 vs their higher seeds? And are you are this opposed against the committee seeding criteria every year? Or just this year because it happened to our team?
  17. Yup I pointed that out a few days ago. It hurt some, but not as detrimental as at TN, bammer, FL and MSU due to App St missing the tournament.
  18. So you prefer the CFB committee’s eye test and what have you done for me lately process better?
  19. True but those were neutral floor games. The true road games carry the most weight. And we lost true road games against TN, bammer, FL and MSU. A win at TN could have put us in the #12 spot instead of the #15 spot.
  20. I don’t disagree in the least. In fact, I applaud the committee for using simple math to determine seedings. It keeps personal bias out of it. I saw a graphic on the CBS show yesterday of all-time records of lower seeds in Round 1 vs their higher seeds. The records were sequentially aligned with exactly what the committee seeded them as. Meaning the 9-seed had the best all-time record, then the 10-seed, etc, down to the 16-seed having the worst all-time record in Round 1. In other words, the committee’s formula gets it right more than they get it wrong.
  21. AGAIN (for the 4th time)…the best team AU beat this season was 21-11 bammer, at home. The best team AU beat in a TRUE road game was 20-12 Ole Miss, who didn’t make the tournament. We got exactly the seeding we deserved.
  22. Absolutely imperative that AU disturb Clayton’s and Pullin’s area at the arc. It caused Clayton to attempt Steph Curry distance threes.
