  1. I made and posted this pic on another forum back in 2010. Cam's new interview has shocked no one inside the AU family...
  2. I don’t believe Donovan has forgotten how to speak with entitled kids. He still gets daily practice.
  3. Nope. Donovan’s Thunder choked away a 3-1 series lead against the Warriors in the 2016 WCF. That’s the series Klay Thompson went beast mode and became “Game Six Klay” by hitting 11 threes in Game 6. Then Durant left for the Warriors and Donovan never saw past the 1st Round again.
  4. UK gave thought to shelling out 33M to fire Cal. Doesn’t matter what you are being fed…UK will go after whoever they want and make them tell them no, regardless of buyout. They would be idiots if they didn’t ask Oats for an interview. And we know UK aren’t idiots. Scott Drew will be around 3rd or 4th on their list. Doubt 2 or 3 guys tell UK no thanks.
  5. Yup I mentioned this earlier.
  6. Was the first one and done for AU since 1984, but yes, point taken on Bruce’s record at AU in the post-season minus 2019.
  7. Yup I knew when they booted the elf from Bad Santa and got Oats, they were cooking with gas. Be more than ecstatic to see him move to Lexington.
  8. Yup this. Billy Donovan a name that Thamel mentioned, but UK would have to wait at least 2 weeks to get him. Not sure they wait that long unless he gives them a verbal. But he’s been out of college 9 years…not sure if he would want back in.
  9. Bruce will follow the Saban blueprint and be working for ESPN when his contract runs out in 6 years. UK wants more than 6 years.
  10. Most college bball games weren’t televised in the early 80s so no clue.
  11. There’s a reason he was on CBS last Saturday.
  12. I didn’t have a prob with the call. If the elbow was thrown by an opponent running down the court without the ball, rather than establishing position in the paint, we would all feel a flagrant 2 was the correct call. It 100% was the correct call. With CBM, you know what you get with him. You get a Draymond Green hothead type who can’t help himself but retaliate, question refs and in scuffles, throws his hands up, but where he still maintains contact with the guy he’s beefing with. He just cannot let stuff go. That type is wayyy more forgiving in the NBA. It simply will not fly with college refs. So you take the good with the bad with CBM. The prob I had was all the ticky tack calls in the 1st half on AU that continued from the SEC Tourney. Some of them we didn’t touch the opponent. Some were all ball. Those four games were some of the worst called college games I’ve seen.
  13. Not sure or an absolute. Time will tell.
  14. Needs to. Chuck is right…the NBA is nothing but a 3-point contest. Guards knocking down 2+ 3-pointers/game consistently are a dime a dozen. Bruce needs to go get em.
  15. Against sub par competition, he hit threes consistently. He still was getting great looks against the SEC. It wasn’t like he was Steph Curry and he had to be double-teamed at the arc. He got tons of great looks. Again, a small slump is ok. Last 17 of 18 and it’s time to get under the bus until he’s hitting it consistently at practice. Be like Knecht and work OT in practice at it.
  16. So he was pressing too hard 17 out of the last 18 games? I’m glad some of you have confidence his shot will return and more importantly, stay. Because that and dribbling is all he brings to the table. The remainder of his game is a huge liability. With the departures of Broome & Jaylin, he HAS to hit threes consistently next season or he’s a wasted starter. IMO Tre needs to go back to starting.
  17. Right now, it’s only hope his shot will return. A cold game? No biggie. Two consecutive cold games? Beginning a concern. Dude went a half season being ice cold. After the road game at Vandy on 1/17/24, he hit double digits one time in 18 games. Many of those games he started. In that 18-game stretch, he hit 2+ threes only twice.
  18. Like I said, hope his shooting comes back. He at least early on showed he can hit the three. Beyond that, what else in his game has he shown he is halfway decent at besides dribbling? I almost have to close my eyes when he’s guarding someone.
  19. No no no. Leave it. It’s who I identify you with.
  20. Tre showed up big in a tournament game last season. Don’t recall which one. Not saying he is the definitive answer at PG, but he has made numerous timely shots and awesome passes in big games, both starting and off the bench. Holloway was nowhere to be found on the stat sheet the back half of this season. He sure can dribble past half court though without turning it over. At least there’s that.
  21. Maybe his shot will come back. Maybe. Other than that wish, afraid to drive. Can’t hit simple layups. Not even remotely a creative passer. Afraid to. Defensive liability. If he’s afraid to be a PG, put him at SG and let him come off screens for the three and hope his shot gets somewhat consistent and not go ice cold for a half season. But even with that hope, he is still out there guarding other quality guards with a huge height & weight disadvantage.
  22. Hope it’s the latter. Other than a good ball handler between the rings, not sure why else he’s here. No hate. Just the facts.
