Yep, other than SEC schedule we do NOT play anyone but weaker teams..... A weak and padded schedule!!! CMD needs to play tougher non-conference teams!!

IF we could only hit.... still hitting below the league average and Penta's overpowering of other teams has Auburn where we are...  if she goes down we are in serious trouble IMO... hope she stays healthy. 

It is obvious that someone else is calling the shots now on offense and I hope Penta stays healthy!!

I believe we hit .300 as a team tonight

I was wondering why we were being so successful against an SEC opponent and Mizzou is also the bottom of the SEC in hitting and pitching... yet these games are nail biters.... we are scoring the average runs i.e. ERA that Mizzou's pitching staff gives up...

Lenti is going to take the fall this year for CMD.... all of a sudden he appears to be coaching and visible. But base running mentality has not changed.   JMO

Going to get worse with 25 games remaining. With the 3 game series against Mizzou, Ole Miss, UF, LSU, UA, SC, and Ms State.... spread in there are  1 game with each of the following: Samford, Troy, Jacksonville St, and Alabama State. So there are 21 SEC Conference games left and 4 out of conference... Current record is 22-9... 

Let's not make excuses as look at what the Myers did with the talent they took and also what  the James Madison staff did with talent left by one CMD..... he may be a pitching coach but evidently cannot manage a program...

Peralta hits a HR and then 3 straight Ks!!!  That won't win at this level

Well CMD took the team to Oklahoma City alright......  😆 

Auburn softball is the new Vandy..   

And Oklahoma just throttled us and they will walk into the SEC and immediately be a contender.... 

Can't say I am surprised......

Didn't they hire or bring in a hitting instructor slash evaluator last year named Ken Brooke? I remember several post and articles related to both Lenti, Carisone, and this guy working hitting... CMD may be a good pitching coach and he is also the boss and hasn't made changes thus far....

And we lose by 1 run with getting 2 lead off hits in the bottom of the 7th? Couldn't even bunt a runner to 3rd to play for a tie??

They ALL need to go as the team and the program are getting gradually worse and playing a weak nonconference schedule year in and out is NOT helping any of them but CMDs numbers ... We will end up in the bottom of the SEC playing the playing in game with a .500 overall record. 

Well that was disappointing and like I said we are starting the SEC Standings Slide down to the bottom of the conference again.... so frustrating but predictable at this point with MD... easy beginning of the year nonconference schedule getting everyone's hopes up and stats.... then uh oh..... big girl ball.... I'd rather play a tough nonconference schedule than not be tested where the girls have to figure out how to win early.... just my opinion and my rant... sorry

He HAS and HAS HAD the talent to win!! The girls I am sure want to win as nobody at that level likes to  lose.... but it is hard to overcome bad coaching in both games and practice, and of course the errors line up

He was wearing an AU hat that had more of a brim and all the way around prior to the "want to be Crocodile Dundee" hat he wears now...

Bottom line is you play better opponents to get better.... play weaker opponents to pad your stats! We are playing Weber, JSU, ASU, and Troy late in the season with is 3 of those 7 wins. We may steal one here or the but with UGA, UF, UA, LSU, OK, NW, Ole Kiss, Mizzou and Miss St... We may win 7 more games.  Predicting a 500 record this season... hope I am wrong ...

Kind of makes me feel like the grounds crew or group of fans in the movie Major League!! 😆 

Like I said in another thread when several were getting all gitty about "how well this team was looking" ...when we see good pitching then we don't hit...it has been that way for a few years now...spend more time trying to hit homeruns instead of learning how the bases chess game works and putting the ball in play...then we are getting thrown out because everyone knows that CMD is a gambler on the bases and is going to send the runner because we are not hitting and needs to make something happen ... too predictable and I still stick to the SEC schedule thought that we are headed to the lower 3rd of the ranks in our beloved conference.

Still waiting to see how we do in SEC play...... 

So the one loss we (AU) have is to Pitt that was beaten two times by Mizzou... if history is any indication I believe that you will see us start to slide down the SEC ranks as the schedule gets further into the season...   

We should be beating these teams and handily. Let's see how we do against better competition as these are weak teams... glad to see Lowe throwing too.
