If the offensive players do their job and execute the plan then we're looking at a different result. So how exactly did Harsin look terrible? Harsin can't help the fact that Gus didn't recruit at positions of need for the last 3-4 years. I'm sure he's going to recruit much better as far as positions of need and unlike Gus he seems like he is capable of actually developing talent that he brings in. While we're at it. If you're sick of sucking then you might try depending on yourself for accomplishments versus a group of 18-22 guys who you have zero connection to. You don't put in any of the work they do to be whining about losses or gloating about wins anyway when it gets down to it.

You’re totally right. A team full of 3 stars will almost always lose to a team full of 5 stars. ...good thing Auburn doesn’t and never is going to have a team full of 3 stars. Y’all are comparing being able to recruit players for 6 weeks tops versus being able to recruit for an entire year or two or three of four. Realize that’s what this new staff was up against. Moving forward, there is no reason to believe that they will not produce the type of recruiting classes that come with the benefits of time and solid relationships (those take more than 6 weeks to build).

If what has been said is true then Gus's recruiting classes that were top 10 classes were quite deceiving. Not recruiting to the actual needs of the team. Would you rather have a class full of 3 stars that are at least going to fill needs where we would otherwise be screwed depth-wise OR have a class that "looks" really good ranking-wise that is full of exactly 0 offensive tackles and multiple "athletes" that go on to be criminally underutilized? I'd say the same people upset about our ranking for this class are the same people who stress over the team ranking in week 2...it doesn't matter. What matters is what all this looks like come November. I have no reason to believe that Harsin and Co. aren't about to take Auburn to new heights in the coming years.
