  1. No, not bringing in the OC at this point in the recruiting game is a planned move. It has allowed them to keep Trovon Reed on the recruiting trail (only allowed because we do not have an OC). Trovon Reed is one of the best ambassadors Auburn has and recruits love him. Much better than bringing in a guy from the PNW and telling him he’s got a week to make relationships and help close for signing day. I know it’s the craziest thing for the abundance of genius on this site but the coaching staff may actually know what they are doing.
  2. Tank and Bo leaving sucks. Nothing sucks as bad as this fanbase for the last year, though. Embarrassing as hell.
  3. Interesting terminology there. If a rabbit is pulled out of a hat it won’t be due to any magic or luck. It will be due to the staff busting their asses, being relentless, and spending the majority of their time away from their families to build a program and, ultimately, make an increasingly piss poor fan base “eat crow” on signing day.
  4. I don’t think your first point has been stated enough. A brand new coaching staff was not able to meet any recruits face to face until July and they are very likely going to pull a top 20 class with good potential for top 15. To spell that out for the chicken littles, that is less than 6 months. Most of these guys they are closing in on have been recruited by most every other coaching staff for years. For Harsin and co. to make as much headway as they have in that little amount of time is impressive. I don’t understand how you can’t feel optimistic about recruiting moving forward.
  5. Hell, that may be the selling point....maybe if we wouldn't have won that Georgia State game...JUST kidding. Those kinds of losses leave a scar and they aren't the kind that come with a cool story.
  6. Justin Williams had been committed to WVU for awhile until he just recently withdrew his commitment. He is down to 2 schools and WVU ain't one of 'em.
  7. I have no more likes to give but I love this post so much.
  8. Has anybody told you that your attitude sucks? Your posts in this thread smell of weakness.
  9. My goodness the weak sauce is flowing on this site. Just because you don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes doesn’t mean bad things are happening. As far as this staff and recruiting goes they are looking at closing with nothing but blue chip recruits. Nothing but 4 stars and maybe Encye Sledge (who should be a 4 star). What in the world do some of y’all want? Harsin and co. are hell bent on kicking ass. Get on board or get the hell out.
  10. I can’t tell if you’re making fun of the chicken little types or if you actually are one of the chicken littles…
  11. He's not holding out on announcing that he's leaving for Oregon. It's out there for the world to see that he's leaving for Oregon for an in-home visit with Clemons on Wednesday.
  12. There is a ton of great talent down here in the south. We’ve got some guys who can recruit down here until the Boise guys get established in this new territory. On the other hand, why can people not see the positives of having recruiters on the staff who can go get the guys out west that we usually don’t go after? We’ve expanded our footprint. The coaches will also continue to build relationships down south moving forward. This is a good thing. Auburn, historically, is not pulling a player like Clemons from Oregon/West Coast. This staff very well might do that. They are closing in.
  13. ...Auburn is most likely going to finish somewhere between 10-15 in recruiting class rankings. Considering the circumstances that is a damn fine job. What in the hell is wrong with you?
  14. Lol you don't know what you're talking about. You literally believe Bruce is only now going to have other schools coming after him? That's been happening. He loves Auburn. Get out with that BS.
  15. And how has that worked out for those programs? Tennessee has done the firing as frequently as anyone. Texas? Please show us multiple examples of the type of program you want Auburn to be that have been firing their coaches after a couple years.
  16. I don't think it's as much that Cadillac would leave with Bobo as it is offensive coordinators usually like to bring in their own position coaches. So the new hire may want to bring in whoever his guy is at RB coach.
  17. This. People act like promoting Kiesau would be a bad thing as if Boise State's offense hasn't been better than any of Auburn's offenses since 2015. Their offense at Boise was a solid one. An offense that actually prepares players for the NFL. Also, probably leads to retaining Cadillac as RB coach and holding on to the momentum gained with receiver prospects.
  18. I’m stoked about our recruiting on the defensive side of the ball. Very worried about OL. Somebody please tell me something positive in regards to this. I think tonight probably won some guys over so feeling good over all. Just gotta have some difference makers on that OL moving forward.
  19. Obviously I don’t. You say that as if you went into some sort of great detail in your original post. A lot of people have been crying about calls and not just the targeting calls. The final punt that was not fielded against SC seems to have had people worked up. I figured this was another one of those. I didn’t get to see much of anything with the hit on Kobe with the exception of the hit itself in real-time. No sideline reactions and on to a commercial break. The camera man seemed to be out on lunch break. Seems like when I was watching in real time that Harsin did get upset with the call on Moultry. Of course I don’t believe any of those were “fair”. I still maintain I’d rather not have a football coach acting like a toddler. Practice harder, put more time into preparation. I’d argue that getting out there and doing workouts and conditioning with your team (which he did) shows a lot more to your players than anything we’re talking about.
  20. Whining to a ref about a call when your team should just be taking care of business so that the refs are not a factor seems like the farthest thing from "hard nosed" I can think of. If you want to run a disciplined program you lead by example.
  21. He got 9 in the 1st. 8 in the 3rd. That doesn’t change my stance at all. South Carolina had no answer for him. Go with what’s working. There’s nothing to argue about here.
  22. He had 2 carries in the 2nd quarter and 3 carries in the 4th. He was averaging 7.5 yards per carry. O-Line was getting plenty of push last night. Bobo is more about scripts and balance than doing what’s needed to be done to win the damn game.
  23. There is absolutely no arguing this. $1.3 million and the guy doesn’t even understand that you play to your advantages. By the end of this Auburn will have traded $1.3 million and what should be another one of Auburn’s all-time great runningbacks for Mike Bobo. Needs to be some serious looking in the mirror for this coaching staff and a change needs to be made. Piss on waiting around. You’ve got elite talent and you’re blowing it for the kid. If you are not able to recognize that you need to ride Tank Bigsby to a (insert expletive here) victory then get gone! Absolutely pathetic.
