  1. Harsin was just on the Paul Finebaum show (I know, I hate Pawl too) and Paul specifically asked him about the OC job and said there is news that he has his guy. Harsin told him he is still looking to fill that role and that was all he really said. Btw, Finebaum also asked him about Tank was reported to transfer but it was later reported that Harsin talked him into staying. Harsin replied saying that Tank wants to win and is competitive. He said he did talk to Tank and they are on the same page and getting ready for the Bowl game. He did say that there has been alot of speculation from different people saying Tank would leave and Harsin made it sound like all of that was rumors and just false reporting. Like I've said in another post, I don't trust ANY Auburn "insider" with news about this Harsin staff. After last years coaching search, its crystal clear to me that nobody is an insider to this new coaching staff. I only believe Harsin, his staff, our AD Greene and the players. WDE
  2. Why are you all letting what some "insider" says get you all worked up? Did we not learn from the coaching search exactly 1 year ago that nobody is an insider anymore? And there dang sure isn't any insiders to our new coaching staff. Nearly every single thing has been wrong that come from these insiders and their podcasts. These same "insiders" all had Tank leaving at this time last year too. Now they have Mason leaving for the DC role at Tx A&M, Austin Davis about to be named OC, Allan Greene supposedly looking to take any AD job he can find, etc. If I've learned ANYTHING, it's not to listen to a word that our "insiders" say. I only listen to what Harsin, Greene, assistant coaches and our players say. I refuse to get worked up and lose sleep or argue with fellow AU fans over pure rumors at this time. WDE
  3. The analysts during the game mentioned a stat I wasn't aware of. They said the past 4 years that Auburn has the best record of all the SEC teams. That is awesome considering that last season was a down year. I love Bruce Pearl.
  4. After I made that post I soon read that Whipple's wife has cancer and then later I saw where he was going to Nebraska.
  5. Yeah, that's my fault. Once I realized it, I posted it over in the football section on the potential OC's thread. Thank you
  6. Pitt's OC Mark Whipple just resigned. Pitt won the ACC Title at 11-2 and his QB Kenny Pickett is a finalist for Heisman saturday. He was an OC at Miami and other schools, has history in the NFL and was head coach at 2 colleges. He is 64 yrs old though but has been a good recruiter. His offense is very nice is any of you have watched them. I think he is worth calling because Narduzzi said he definately wanted Whipple to stay but he announced today he is resigning.
  7. I'm new to posting but have followed these threads since the 2 site's merged. Pitt's OC just resigned. He is 64 yrs old and Pitt just won the ACC Title at 11-2. His QB, Kenny Pickett, is one of 4 Heisman finalists for this saturday nights awards. He has been an OC at Miami and tons of experience. He has NFL experience also. He has 2 head coaching stints in college also. His offense was amazing this season and he has always been a great recruiter. Something to consider.
