  1. I thought we were a 4 seed before with no arrow. Also, you keep citing what Auburn might do; movement this late is going to happen based on what we do + what happens around us. This means within the SEC and the country (specifically watch what the #3 and #4 seeds do this sat and the first rounds of their respective conference. Prime example is UK as a #4 seed. They play @ UT tomorrow. If they lose and exit early in the SEC CC I would think they do not stay a 4 seed. #3 Kansas has a tough last game @ #1 Houston. Drop that game and exit early in their CC bracket and they may fall from the 3 line. We'll just hold our water and take care of our tasks and see where we end up.
  2. Never say never. In the latest Lunardi bracketing we look like this: We have an up arrow after us, so we might be "4.1", the top 4th seed. I think we have to get to the SEC CC game + have some others around us lose and we might make the 3 line at "3.4".
  3. ^ This ^ When I look at the top seeded teams, the 1-7 performance in Quad 1 is our Achillies heal. I think we are a lock for a 4th seed because we have strong double digit wins and all of our loses are close (except 2). I also feel. depending on some luck in the next 7 days, a possibility of a lower tiered 3 seed could await us.
  4. I always thought of it this way: I could see how the movement might have moved us from "16" to "17" in Joe's eye's. That could move us from the #4 team as a 4th seed to the #1 team as a 5th seed. I think our O/D NET rankings, etc are very good and have helped us get to a good AP/coaches poll ranking of 13/14. If the selection committee holds a similar view, that would have us as a "4.1 or 4.2" seeding meaning we're at the top of the #4 seeds. If this is true, the SEC tourney results for us could make an important difference because we could jump from a "4.1" to a "3.4" meaning we would be the 4th team in the 3rd seeding bracket. We still need a little help. Getting to a 3rd seed would be important because we would get to the sweet 16 round, we would be facing a #2 seed within a bracket (at worst). If we stay at a #4 seed, we would be facing off a #1 seed (worse case). I would want to face a #2 seed vs #1 unless it was Purdue. We have to beat Ga this sat and hope we get on the top 4 line with a double bye in the SEC tournament; then, go on to win it all so we can hang a banner. We are improving some minor adjustments coming out. We make out FT's (good %) and are hitting our 3's at a good clip (hope it can stay consistent) and the D is present. When we're on, he are a tough outing. When we are not, I think it still takes a good team to beat us. Fingers crossed. War Eagle.
  5. wow, that's what we'll need going in the SEC and NCAA tournaments. Will it be 2019 again?
  6. Don't write him off just yet. I hope he stays and develops his physical presence and game for future years. When his confidence is in place, he has shown what he can do. It will be nice to not have a 1 and done player.
  7. I hope he gets to travel with the team all the way deep into the NCAA tournament. His emotional support can still help the team. War Eagle to him!
  8. Anyone watching the UT game? Thoughts?
  9. I just watched the SC/UF game. I was pulling for the gators to knock down the gamecocks, but it didn't happen. That keeps the gamecocks 1 game ahead of us in the somewhat log jammed top of the SEC. We need UT to take down UA. Is it too much to hope Ak takes down UK?
  10. THe team played well on the road tonight. But their stud was the difference tonight.
  11. The 2nd half should be wild. We'll need 3's to win this game; we have 5 now
  12. #7 Kansas goes down tonight), 5 more games to go
  13. We do not control our destiny, but if we can steal the UT game and take the remaining 3, we only need to have UA lose 1 game and we at least tie for the crown. That is enough to hang a banner! It's not a zero chance, but if we lose the UT game but win the other 3 games there is still a chance to tie for the crown as the leaders have a tough game to go too.
