Just out of curiosity, I browsed around on some Uconn fan forums today and saw some interesting posts about Auburn. They are worried. This post was typical: The teams that win the tourneys are typically the ones trending at the right time. Look at Auburn for example. They had to go play @ Florida and @ Tennessee with no return games. There wasn't really much separation at the top of the SEC. Tennessee was 14-4 then 4 teams came in right behind them at 13-5. I watched them destroy South Carolina. Win a terribly officiated wrestling match against Mississippi State lol, and pull away from Florida twice and end up blowing them out as well. They are #5 in the net. They are literally 2 opponent rankings away from 5 Q1 wins. Mississippi State is #31 (need to be 30) and South Carolina is #51 (need to be 50). They were the only team in college basketball with a top 10 offense and top 10 defense. They are #7 in the latest coaches poll. They are #4 in Kenpom. They won 27 games and 26 of those wins were by double digits. Don't even get me started on Iowa State who is right there with them. There isn't a single thing that screams #15 (3rd 4 seed) in regards to Auburn. They should have been the #3 in UNCs bracket. Don't even get me started with Iowa State lol. They beat Houston 2/3 times. Houston is also dealing with injury issues and are short handed. I would much rather play Tennessee or Houston vs Auburn or Iowa State at this point. I know we're good enough to win it all and should win it all. I still think the path we gotta go through compared to everyone else is nonsense.

Yeah, the joke is actually on the audience for wasting their time listening to mud wrestling.

Whoever comes out of the East bracket will either be hardened like steel, or broken up like an early-career Mike Tyson opponent.

Sunday the 24th. Not sure about the time.

Even USA Today is calling our bracket (from Uconn's standpoint) "The Bracket of Death". NYPost had similar things to say. I thought the #1 overall seed was supposed to have the "easiest" road, but they (and we) are playing in the toughest bracket. If we make the Sweet 16, we will play Uconn in their neck of the woods, where they will probably enjoy a "home crowd" like we did in Nashville on Sunday. I hope our defense travels to New England like our fans did to Nashville. This assumes a lot: that we win 2 games in Spokane. The first one is pretty certain, but San Diego State (5 seed) made the Final Four last year.

Paul Finebammer is a traitor and a turncoat - UT grad turned bammer. Even so, before his BSPN days, I used to listen to his show on the way home from work every day (when it was all about Auburn and Alabama). Sure did love (and now miss) Tammy. She was my favorite caller, and she could get under Finebammer's skin like no other. Legend (Paul's favorite caller) should still be in prison.

I'm just so, so thankful and glad we won. WDE.

So, for those of you who were at the game, I have a question: When Florida's center got hurt, did the Auburn and Florida players meet and pray together? I read something to that effect...

Just a few short hours after Auburn won a big SEC Championship, we learn that we draw the worst NCAA 4-seed, when we kinda thought we deserved a 3-seed. Talk about having no time to celebrate... It's a bummer. More to some than others, of course. If I had to guess, I'd say that our lopsided home loss to KY on Gameday mattered more to the Committee than did our SEC Championship. That reasoning would fall in line with the Committee giving KY a 3-seed. But like someone said, if we win the whole thing, we'd have to beat great teams along the way anyway.

I'm thinking Uconn is not too pleased to see us in their way. I don't think anyone wants to play us because they know it will be a knockdown, drag out dogfight to the level they haven't had to play much this year. Florida did their darndest to stay out of half-court basketball against us today. That was telling.

We wound up in the same bracket as the #1 overall seed, didn't get a 3 seed, and have to fly halfway around the world for the first 2 games.

I had serious doubts about our team early in the year, but thank goodness they proved me wrong. So proud of this team. I needed that after the evilness and cruelty of 4th-and-31.

What happened? I was tending the grill...

We are fooling around and letting them back in. Terrible shot selection on our part. And KD isn't even in the game - yet.

Happy Birthday. I think BP and the players are about to give you a nice tourney win to help celebrate.

We need to pound it low, and get kickouts to Denver and CBM.

We dominated the 1st half, but should be up by at least 15.
