  1. I've read a lot of informed opinions on this selection. As many pan it as like it. Personally, I think Mac Jones was a better NFL prospect than Bo Nix. I thought Jones was bound to be a reliable NFL starter, but it hasn't happened - yet. I appreciate Nix coming to Auburn, but I don't think he will be a reliable NFL starter. I think Denver made a mistake, like they did by overpaying Russel Wilson. But they are QB poor and took a shot. Just my opinion.
  2. Bitcoin is good, when treated with caution and following the principle of "never investing more than you can afford to lose". No one can refute its current value. Nor its rebound from the SBF debacle. It is currently thriving. From a blockchain implementation perspective, it is revolutionary. Very cool all the way around. Hope it survives.
  3. I took a Udemy course on blockchain technology, which is solid computer science and is applicable to much more than cryptocurrency. It is applicable to any situation in which a distributed ledger is needed, and is safe and secure without the need of a trusted third party for verification (i.e. control). For example, medical records.
  4. Just being realistic. CBM is a good player at AU, but at UK? A dime a dozen ,my friend, A dime a dozen, With fewer techs. Come back at me. I can take it. And won't complain.
  5. Yes, Drew has withdrawn. Apparently, so have Hurley and Oats. How many more "no" responses does the UK AD need to hear before he calls Bruce? Make no mistake: if he calls, I think Bruce would say "yes" before even hearing the contract terms. The longer this draws out, the closer we come to returning to the SEC cellar. Someone (before Bruce), please say "yes".
  6. I wonder how many "no" responses the UK AD must get before he calls Bruce. Hopefully a lot, but even UK publications are calling for Bruce to be seriously considered. I think Bruce would be crazy to turn it down if offered. He's definitely a championship coach, but with no championships. And he could recruit the guards to UK that he hasn't been able to recruit to AU. I have a bad feeling about this...
  7. Zach Edey: phenomenal college player, 2-time player of the year, amazing last night (37 points), and future G-League star. Unfortunately for him, his game does not translate well to the NBA. But he was sure fun to watch in college. Hope he got a good degree.
  8. And hopefully Tre will come back now.
  9. I wish the kid luck. Not sad to see him leave, though. Hope Tre decides to come back now.
  10. Perdue in danger. Could get out of hand if they don't respond soon.
  11. Yeah, UConn's guards are just better, even though Clingan is not scoring big.
  12. Yeah, UConn looks stronger, and Edey is looking a little bit tired.
  13. Edey looks tired. Defensive breakdown, then called for travelling.
  14. This is beautiful basketball. These teams are playing well, their games are built around big men, and it's fun to watch. They have excellent perimeter play as well. These 2 teams spent over half the year combined being ranked #1. And they are bringing it so far tonight.
  15. Clingan not forcing anything, biding his time. Reminds me of the game between Ralph Sampson and Patrick Ewing back in the 1980s. It was a regular season game over 40 years ago, but I remember that Sampson had 23 points, and Ewing had 16.
  16. Edey can't go left, it seems. Strongly right-handed.
  17. Just called the network to complain about the late starting time. Had to leave a message.
  18. I picked Perdue. Mainly to support a friend of mine who graduated from Perdue. I'm just gonna savor seeing the clash of the big men tonight. Centers (like Shaq, not Wemby) have usually been my favorite players.
  19. I can't believe this game doesn't start until 9ET. That's just crazy. I'm usually asleep after 2 beers, but tonight it'll be 4. Which means I'll make it to about halftime.
  20. Caitlin Clark is the darling of traditional America. If she were on Gilligan's Island, she'd be Mary Ann. We recently saw this same sort of scenario (contrast between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese) with Taylor Swift and Simone Biles. Both beautiful, famous, and great at what they do, with NFL-starter boyfriends...yet Swift was over-hyped at NFL games while Biles was an afterthought. Don't get me wrong - I'm not interested in seeing either of them hyped at an NFL game, but I notice the difference when one is over-hyped, while the other is not hyped at all.
  21. Sure hope so. Don't want to lose Bruce.
  22. Bruce Pearl also being mentioned.
