  1. DEs are getting good rush but need to push the interior of the pocket more.
  2. Ah Smoke!! He's gonna get more of those chances playing robber
  3. Great job by Zakoby to alter the timing of that route but not draw a flag.
  4. Smoke is such a pivotal part of the gameplan this week. Whew, good hi5
  5. Ran that mug into the endzone, too. Love the sight of that.
  6. You're right aTm wasn't letting Bo get loose on the perimeter running. Those aren't the type of RPOs I'm pining for. There's a ton more diversity to the RPO game than what we've shown. It's a simpler read for the QB whether it's a pre-snap design based on a defender's leverage or numbers OR a post snap decision reading the conflict defender's movement. Bo is good on those and with the quicker decision necessary closer to the goal line that's why I'd rather see those. You're right to an extent about the fade. The pass catchers have plenty of culpability in why they aren't successful, too. Either way, I don't like the fades to the endzone anyway.
  7. Thanks @JMR There's no doubt that Elko had a great plan and had his boys ready to execute it. I thought we went away from running the ball out of 12 or 13 personnel too early. Another gripe of mine is using the conventional drop back passing game in the redzone. We're not good at executing it. We're best when we run the ball in the redzone or at least show the threat. Mix in the play-action quick hitters, bootlegs, or RPOs, but please no more straight drop backs.
  8. Correct. Still, Bo's pass chart is going to have the vast majority of targets less than 15 yards in depth. We made it easy for them to defend and you could literally see their secondary becoming more and more aggressive bc of it.
  9. As I said in the game thread, the advanced analytics said that we needed to be successful on 1st down (moreso than usual) against aTm both offensively and defensively. Just look at how the game played out.... They were terrible at 3rd down conversions and only drove the ball when they gained 1st downs on 1st down. We needed to stay ahead of the chains to be drive the ball on offense and we had some boneheaded 1st down calls at inopportune times. Elko knew our WRs couldn't beat them and our OL couldn't hold their rush for us to try to throw deep often anyway. They squatted on the quick passes that we've been so successful with in the recent weeks and we didn't counter, at all, kept going to the same well. We had some different pieces along the OL play today, but I didn't like the offensive game plan and lack of adjustments in the passing game today. They had a week off and were well scouted. We got whipped....Bo, the OL, the WRs, and Bobo. Only passing grade I'm giving today is the RBs, defense, and Oscar Chapman.
  10. Defense played really well today. Offense had too many missed opportunities in the 1st half. Bo overthrowing Ja'Varrius and not taking advantage of great field position twice. I said in the game thread that it was obvious that Elko's plan was to squat on the quick passes outside the hashes and surely that caused some of those low throws by Bo. We never once took advantage of the way they were playing against our WRs. We shouldn't continue to ignore the middle of the field in the passing game for long stretches. All the momentum changed after Anders missed the FG. Bo and the offense crumpled under the pressure in the 2nd half. There's no way around that.
  11. Bo deserves the criticism for this performance, but so does soo many other aspects of this offensive performance.

  13. Absolutely, like "Oh well, just happy to be out here."
  14. #31 screwed that last run fit up and Zakoby aint happy. Chewing his ass
