 Absolutely hilarious. Too many sources of information and little if any factual information involved in any of it. Could be waiting on A&M to make a move or could be covering their rearends because A&M took em out on a pretend date again.

“The SEC Presidents and Chancellors met today and reaffirmed our satisfaction with the present 12 institutional alignment.  We recognize, however, that future conditions may make it advantageous to expand the number of institutions in the league. We discussed criteria and process associated with expansion.  No action was taken with respect to any institution including Texas A&M.”

Dr. Bernie Machen,

Chair of the Southeastern Conference Presidents and Chancellors

Exactly. The whole key is to the SEC avoiding a lawsuit by the Big 12-2 is to be able to say aTm approached the SEC not the other way around. One things for sure, Slive wouldn't have all the Presidents meet just to gauge their interest on the subject. He could have took a straw poll over the phone.

As usual ESPN don't know ####. I would be shocked if aTm wasn't in the SEC by 2012.

They sure are taking a lot of cheap shots at aTm.

Can't imagine why they would though. It isn't like ESPN would hate to rework their TV deal with the SEC or that they have 300 million invested into aTm's main rival.  ;)

I think ESPN has realized they made a huge mistake with TLN and are worried about making it work. Texas was hoping to play high school games and use it as an insanely unfair recruiting tool. Now that the NCAA has ruled against that being allowed they are less thrilled with it as well.

What in the hell are they going to do to fill 24 hours a day with quality programming? There are going to be a an A$$load of reruns. A BIG12 network would have made a lot more sense.

What the hell are they gonna do to fill 24 hours with quality programming? They've not been able to figure that out for BSPN, much less another 24 hours on a totally new network. The reaction form them should tell everyone all they need to know. It's not about covering the sport, it's about them controlling the sport for their profit.
