Tigerdog 0
Reality Check Time! I thought this was pretty damn hysterical!! Seems Ivan sees it differently than Bammers Do The Link Ivan Maisel I have no doubt that Auburn's success this season makes Alabama's two-game losing streak even more painful to endure. The Crimson Tide, after a 3-0 start, have a pair of 17-point losses at Arkansas and to South Carolina. It doesn't matter to Tide fans that their young, inexperienced, undermanned, probation-decimated team took the Razorbacks deep into the fourth quarter before faltering, or that the Gamecocks may be the most improved team in the SEC.No, Tide fans don't care about that, or the fact that their best player on offense and one of their leaders, quarterback Brodie Croyle, is out for the season. They are complaining about the inadequacies of coach Mike Shula, as if he should have waved a wand over the mess he inherited 17 months ago and declared it fixed. This just in, Bama: you're on NCAA probation. Surely you read about it over the last four years. You're experiencing the depths of its effects. There's also the hangover from having four coaches in 30 months. That is your lot, and whining about it isn't going to fix it. Only time, good recruiting and good coaching will fix it, and it's way too early to figure out whether Shula has failed, succeeded, run in place or made the worst mistake of his life by subjecting himself to your incessant carping
