Softball slumping

What has happened to our girls since starting SEC play?  We are 2-5 in SEC play and lost 5 in a row, including a midweek loss to Troy.  We have lost 6 of the last 8 games. 

Come on girls pick it up again.  You can do it!!

It's just so hard to sustain a streak, and when it breaks it's like teams just bottom out for a while. Mentally and physically it just does something to have it come to an end. I think they'll stop the slide after this weekend is done.

They also started out conference play with #23 LSU, #7 Georgia, a strong Kentucky team that will end up a lot better than they are now, and #1 Alabama.  They still have 3 game sets with Ole Miss, Arkansas, South Carolina and Miss State, who they went 10-2 with last year and 3 game sets with #10 Tennessee and #4 Florida. 

They are struggling right now, but this is the same team that beat (at the time) #15 Okie State 8-0, #20 Georgia Tech 12-5, no-hit Virginia Tech 2-0, Syracuse 5-0 and #14 UCLA 11-1.  Plus they took a game each from LSU and Georgia at their place.  They can turn this thing around, they just need to get back to hitting the way they did at the beginning of the year.

AU and TN are in a close game. AU just had a player ejected for mowing down the TN catcher while she was trying to get home....wow. I have never seen a young lady ejected from a softball game before.
