Reverse racism to combat racism?

Recommended Posts

From all indications Sterling is a jerk. BUT it should be noted.......as of this time (9:35am on Thursday) IT HAS NOT been proven that the voice on the controversial tape is his. Yet the whole world, including Obama, is crucifying him. What happened to innocent until proven guilty. Would it be he same for Al Sharpton? Ofcourse not. So yes there is reverse racial discrimination.

LOL. and the beat goes on.

The president of the USA made a political initiative that excludes a certain race and gender from participating, that is not a comment, that is an agenda. An old rich guy who pays his players millions of dollars to play a sport made comments.

And so. All presidents have had similar initiatives. Clinton had initiatives as well as other Presidents for a specific group of people. Bush had initiatives geared to blacks and hispanics being able to buy/own a home. Nixon had initiatives that promoted minority business development. So according to you those programs were racist as well? lol. Not like this is something new.

Each president has had a number of initiatives that supports a particular group. He is supporting and seeking ways that allows women to be paid fairly so that makes him a man basher as well as a racist too? He's trying to get in place several programs that aid military vets and their spouses in finding work. That's exclusive to military people so since those that are not military don't get to take advantage of a program because they are not military...that makes the President un-American? lol.

Wow. So much misinformation in this post that it's difficult to respond to. Bush tried to get oversight of Fannie and Freddie in 2003 and was blocked by the Democrats in Congress. Obama is claiming to be a champion of equal pay for women, when he doesn't pay the women that work for him equal pay. The vast majority of the military despise Obama as he has cut benefits for them on numerous occasions.

Here comes the different political parties convoys with the Pres bashing. No matter what the OP is about it gets turned into a Pres. smear campaign. So i guess the American Dream Down Payment Fund was never created...got it. lol. Stay on subject. lol.

My bad. I didn't realize responding to someone else's 'off the subject' comments that are full of misinformation was bad message board etiquette.

Its is truly regrettable that we have a president who consistently exacerbates racial problems by being a part of them with his commentaries rather than trying to diffuse the problems. Does, "If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon Martin" ring a bell? His divide and conquer campaign strategy is really all he knows. Sadly, for America, he is the MOST divisive Commander in Chief of all time when he ran on the pretense of bring a great healer. The country is more divided now than at any time in my lifetime. So, yeah, he gets a lot of well deserve criticism.

It's not misinformation. Feel free to look it up.

“On October, 15, 2002, Bush announced a new national goal: "We have a problem here in America because fewer than half of the Hispanics and half the African Americans own their own home. That's a home ownership gap we've got to work together to close for the good of our country, for the sake of a more hopeful future. We've got to work to knock down the barriers that have created a home ownership gap. I set an ambitious goal: that by the end of this decade we'll increase the number of minority homeowners by at least 5.5 million families. And it's going to require a strong commitment from those of you involved in the housing industry."

By mid-2006, not yet four years after Bush's speech, minority home ownership had grown by 2.7 million, trumpeted the Weekly Standard, in "Closing the Gap: The Quiet Success of the Bush Administration's Push for Home Ownership."

As well as...other initiatives such as Bush's HIV/AIDs initiatives; Providing up to an 15 percent increase to the African Development Bank's fund; Africa Education Initiative; He was heavily applauded for these initiatives. These are all things that a white president initiated during his office. Others before him have similar types of initiatives geared towards Native Americans, veterans and etc.

So let me get this straight....it's ok for other presidents to have put into place initiatives that benefits a particular group whether it's based on race, gender, military..etc but since Obama is black he's not allowed to do the exact same thing if it benefits blacks because he's black but the Presidents before that implimented similar programs are considered great men; therefore you consider it reversal race discrimination....got it. lol.

Here comes Trayvon. Already seen Al Sharpton name come up...go ahead and drop Jesse's name as well. lol. Some of you should seriously let it go. He's president...deal with it. Clearly not enough Americans agree with your arugment or he wouldn't be the President again. It's really time to let it go. The ones that are still so bent up out of shape that the world is going to end have less than 3 years left then you can bitch about the next President esp. if he is not from your desired party. smh. FYI: I belong to neither party.

I have no more need to do that than Obama had to comment on a case that was being tried in the state of Florida. His comments simply served to amplify racial tensions. Presumably due to his background as a community organizer, he thrives on doing that.

Yes because he is BLACK and because of that Obama was irresistibly compelled to make a comment when should've stayed out of it. I can thelp but wonder why Obama chose not to comment on the black murderer who shot a white toddler in the face when robbing his mother? That happened about the same time as the T Martin case but Obama felt no need to comment on that...why not?

Why didn't your wonderful president comment on the black murderer who shot a white toddler in the face when robbing its mother? That case was being heard at the same time as TMartin case was.

Maybe you should ask him. I didn't come here to discuss T Martin but apparently he comes up with anything associated with the President b/c he was black. TM wasn't the topic of discussion but he becomes one b/c he's black....WOW. I'll pass b/c i have no desire to discuss the ends and outs of the TM situation. It's OVER but clearly not for some people. lol. Interesting seeing some people's true character on here. Very insightful.

The OP referring to "My brothers keeper" initiative is relevant to Trayvon Martin.....ummm ok. LOL.

Yes because he is BLACK and because of that Obama was irresistibly compelled to make a comment when should've stayed out of it.

WOW. Ignorance is bliss i see.

Why didn't your wonderful president comment on the black murderer who shot a white toddler in the face when robbing its mother? That case was being heard at the same time as TMartin case was.

When and where did i say he was wonderful? Where did i state he was perfect? Where did i state i ever voted for him? Please show me where i said any of those things. Maybe you should make a thread about it or send him a letter and ask him. Stay on topic...the Obama bashing topics are in the other 30 threads on here. lol.

I can thelp but wonder why Obama chose not to comment on the black murderer who shot a white toddler in the face when robbing his mother? That happened about the same time as the T Martin case but Obama felt no need to comment on that...why not?

Maybe you should ask him. I didn't come here to discuss T Martin but apparently he comes up with anything associated with the President b/c he was black. TM wasn't the topic of discussion but he becomes one b/c he's black....WOW. I'll pass b/c i have no desire to discuss the ends and outs of the TM situation. It's OVER but clearly not for some people. lol. Interesting seeing some people's true character on here. Very insightful.

You clearly do care! lol. Ok. Hope that made you feel better b/c you clearly have some built up anger about him.

If you think Im alone, you need to get out more. Even the NYT , his biggest cheerleader is beginning to turn on his ass. Dude's just WAY OUT OF HIS DEPTH. Community organizer, 2 years as a back bench Senator to President. His meteoric rise was of the media's making and they have protected him for 5 years. That protection is starting to breakdown

"The evidence is everywhere that his ideas are flawed, that his view of economics, diplomacy, the military, history, science and religion are warped by his own narcissism. He doesn’t even talk a good game anymore."

I know you're not alone. lol. Of course you're not alone. I certainly don't agree with everything ANY President has done. I don't see how anyone could but it's clearly not enough people that have the strong beliefs that he's such a demon or disaster of epic proportion as you say or he wouldn't have been President again or he’d be impeached. Lol. I don't care about all the articles. There are articles and every President...that's my point. lol. Yep...the sky is certainly failing and American is going the h3ll. Ha ha. Get a grip.
