Have the Auburn Baseball players just given up?

Recommended Posts

It seems from watching the watching the games lately that the players don't really care anymore. Is the talent not there? Is the drive not there? Discuss.

I don't think they've given up. We're having to play too many freshmen and this team will need at least two years of solid recruiting before the talent is there to compete for titles.

Pawloski's weak recruiting was masked because every year he'd sign three or so guys that everybody knew was going pro. Similar to signing a known non-qualifier 5* in football. That raises the team's 'crutin' rankings but does nothing for the team on the field.

It' going to take some time.

mikey..(Michael) u maybe the most delusional person who posts on here....Jp had the some of the highest recruiting classes in AU history...and in his span the most kids make into professional baseball.....u were so quick to be critical of JP while he was here....and still so quick to blame him for the horrible season.....so your willing to give Galloway another 3 season's before you start whining??? Galloway was not very popular if you ever read any Sooner blogs....He is in way over his head in the SEC and its quite apparent.....again go with Mike or Michael....Mikey aint cutting it

Yeah - what Mikey said. Dont get too down on these guys. The only thing I expect is noticeable improvement next year. CSG did not walk into a Gus Malzahn type situation.

Please give our best to Tony Gwynn, hate to hear he's battling again. And for the sake of the Aztec baseball program, let Coach Martinez call the shots.

very cute..hmmmm bet the Aztecs get to Omaha a lot quicker than Sonny's gang...

Hits close to home, am I right?

And you meant "our" gang, didn't you? You recruited most of 'em.

Golloway has a proven track record of success everywhere he's been and at big time programs. The growing pains that the team is going through are temporary and necessary. The culture of Auburn baseball since Coach Baird retired has been one of entitlement and coddling, and it's finally changing. The wins will follow soon if we're patient and let Coach Golloway do his job.

Ryan Tella got a kick out of pitching last night! Good move by CSG.

IMHO...the answer is...many have become very discouraged, and frustrated, and a few have not. They all have that competitive spirit that keeps them from totally giving up. What we see, as fans, are those mixed signals.
