Proud Tiger 4,261
ESPN Sports Center has finalized it's "50 States in 50 Days" tour which begins tonight. The events they will be at include only two SEC FB games: Sept. 1--Central Fla. vs. South Carolina Sept. 3--GT at Auburn When you consider that of all the states that have SEC schools, the only two getting FB games on are S.C. and Alabama, it speaks volumes. And when you consider that the event in Alabama is an Auburn game....well that's shouts volumes Since this is the second straight year we have been the site of Sports Center, they must recognize where the modern "tradition" lies. The Birmingham News and a few other media outlets try and relive that which has forever passed.
AuNuma1 1
I wouldn't put too much stock into it PT...I'm sure all the other 49 states leading up to the Great State of California, home of THE National Championship University of Southern California Trojans, are just pit stops. You know, south central LA is THE mecca of college football and I'd be REALLY surprised if the grand finale of their road trip isn't USC. And by the way, did you know that USC is trying to three-peat as National Champions this year and that they have at least two Heisman candidates on their team? If the sarcasm isn't dripping off of your monitor and onto your desk, you've got problems.

alexgreatau 0
The california stop will be in Los Angeles for the X-Games. Maybe ESPN wil be in Los Angeles for the XXX-Games as well. Wouldn't you rather see Jenna Jameson than sky diving? I'm totally kidding here. The porn industry is another prevalent part of L.A culture, along with rampant crime, pollution, and yes, even the hated Trojans. I'm not going to generalize though, there are great parts in L.A, you just have to know where you're going and where all the nice and safe places in the area are. Plus, the SC fans were cordial to me, the weather is great, and the women are beautiful. So I guess that L.A isn't all that bad. My guess is that the California site will be one of USC's home games, since basketball is not in season yet and the pro football teams, the 49ers and Raiders, are going through difficult times. The team in California is USC these days and I guess that ESPN will be outside the L.A Colesium that day. Alex
