Maher: NY DA Decides to not prosecute trump. Money tops everything it seems.

I have said for years on here that money is our real religion in America. if you got money, you can buy all the "Political Indulgences" you want.

The NY DA decides to not prosecute trump family. Staff immediately resigns claiming that trump is guilty of multiple felonies. Two things to say:

1) trump is indeed guilty. He is a famous failure in business with 6 bancruptcies and heading for maybe two more.
2) If anyone thinks this isnt the same treatment that a Democrat would get, you need to put down the crackpipe.
3) I think trump ran for President KNOWING that he would get this treatment. It might even have been a good chunk of his thinking on why to run.

What crime is the DA investigating?  If the DA doesn't like someone's politics, do you think it is right in America to investigate that person to see if you can find a crime?  We have always investigated crimes in America, not people. I think it's better if it stays that way. The unending Trump investigations are a very bad precedent.

FYI, the staffers that resigned said they had found numerous felonies. The DA simply chose not to prosecute.

Put aside your Trump hatred for a second and focus on the process.  Would you like it if a DA decided to investigate DKW86 because he didn't like your politics and see if he could find a crime somewhere?   And once the DA decided that despite years of probing, there was no crime that he could find that he could get a conviction with in a court of law, partisan staffers just came out and said "Well, we found that DKW86 had committed a bunch of felonies which we won't name or substantiate" and smeared your good name as best they could anyway.

That's not how the justice system is supposed to work in America. And Trump must be the cleanest rich man in real estate in New York if the Mueller gang and these clowns couldn't find anything.

Mueller wasn't concerned with accounting and tax evasion. Unlike Ken Starr, he wasn't given an unlimited scope to search for a crime.  I'm not a fan of looking for criminal conduct until you find something.  There aren't many people that the right investigation couldn't find some sort of crime to charge them with.

The one thing that the Trump organization is right about is the fact that most of their prior conduct, although illegal, is commonplace in the business sector in New York.  It just further proves that he really had no idea that he could actually win the nomination when he decided to run.  It was about growing his brand.
