What books go into detail on the political and university machinations of getting the Iron Bowl out of Birmingham and into Auburn for the first time? bostic up the middle 80
I've got the Auburn University Football Vault by David Housel and an Alabama-Auburn Football Rivalry Vault by David Housel and Tommy Ford. They are a good mix of stories and reproduction tickets, programs, etc. I don't think either are in print, but Amazon has some used ones for sale. In "What It Means to be a Tiger" by Ray Glier/foreward by Pat Dye, different people in the program (players, administrators) provide their take on being an Auburn man. In the chapter on the Eighties, many accounts cover different aspects of the '89 iron bowl.
