Auburn basketball closed the regular season by smashing Missouri on the road and taking down rival Georgia at home. They are currently on a three-game winning streak and are being rewarded for it in the rankings.

In the final USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll of the regular season, Auburn has jumped to No. 12, a two-spot increase from last week’s poll. The Tigers are one of five programs to represent the SEC in this week’s poll.

Tennessee remains the highest-ranked SEC squad by checking in at No. 5. The Volunteers fall one spot after losing its regular season finale to Kentucky on Saturday. Speaking of the Wildcats, they crack the top 10 by advancing four places to No. 9 after winning its fifth straight game on Saturday in Knoxville.

South Carolina remains at No. 16 after splitting last week’s action with Tennessee and Mississippi State. Alabama falls to No. 19 after dropping a road contest to Florida and barely hanging on to defeat Arkansas at home on Saturday. Despite beating Alabama, Florida was kicked out of this week’s top 25 after being upset by Vanderbilt on Saturday in Nashville.

Nevada was this week’s biggest mover by jumping five spots to No. 22. Creighton, Kentucky, Utah State, and Texas Tech all moved up four spots. Washington State suffered the biggest drop of the week, falling from No. 20 to No. 25.
