I guess this evil dictator, who has imprisoned and tortured his opponents, killed his country's former leader and stolen his country's oil profits is OK since they're willing to sell us oil. They must be. We're renewing ties with them!!

Donutboy, I'm gonna have to call you out on this one. Bush doesn't want Teodoro Obiang's oil, he only wants a campaign contribution from him!!! Oil will come later.

This makes no sense. Iraq was more than willing to sell us oil under Hussein's regime. We pushed for UN sanctions to prevent him from doing so except for food for the Iraqi people. For your premise to make sense, we would have tolerated Hussein, not toppled him.

It sends the wrong signal, because we don't think there's been any improvement in terms of governance and the human rights record," said Sarah Wykes, an oil expert at the London-based rights group Global Witness.

And I am so sure her beloved UK does no business with dictators. She is a hypocrit just as many liberal usually are.

Its easier to divide and conquer when possible.

If all Bush is after is oil, and will use an unstable or corrupt political leader as an excuse to invade a country to get such oil, why haven't we invaded Venezuela yet? And their leader is actually a SOCIALIST!! Right wing conspiracy fodder for sure!!!
