THE EMPLOYMENT SITUATION:  JANUARY 2006

                                       

  Nonfarm payroll employment increased by 193,000 in January, and the

unemployment rate fell to 4.7 percent, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of

the U.S. Department of Labor reported today

4 more years! :thumbsup: ....oh, wait. :D

It will be interesting to see how the left spins that after all the whining and gnashing of teeth over the economy.

It also doesn't include those who have exhausted their unemployment benefits and are out of the system. What are the stats on new claims, or is that what they are quoting? Or, are they stating existing and new claims together for 4.7 %?
