You guys go on and on about how Clinton gutted the military, even though even under Clinton the USA spent more on defense than every other country in the world COMBINED! Still not enough! We will spend upwards to 500 billion on defense next year. Sure, there is a ton of waste there, but who on this board supports a cut in the Pentagon's budget? Where does that money come from? Republicans want to cut every tax, but don't want to cut spending. You want wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and maybe Iran and North Korea? But don't want to pay for it? Charge it. This whole line of thinking shows how utterly bankrupt the so-called conservative agenda has become. You don't think you should pay taxes because there is waste. We have a party in charge of government whose mantra is "government can't work!" And they are intent on proving it over and over. Government has worked, but it sure hasn't lately. It's run by deadbeats who love to spend and refuse to pay the bill.
