Draven 0
5. Kenny IronsAuburn, running back, Sr. Previous ranking: 6. 2005 Heisman voting: Not in top 10. 2006 stats: 3 games, 66 carries, 322 yards, 1 TD; 4 catches, 36 yards, 0 TDs. 2005 stats: 12 games, 256 rushes for 1,293 yards; 13 TDs; 14 catches for 164 yards. Last game (7-3 victory vs. LSU, 9/16): We would have liked to seen more from Irons, but yards were tougher to come by than tax breaks for both teams on this day. In 61 combined carries between the two teams, they averaged 1.87 yards a rush. This was a bar fight. In that regard, Irons’ 68 yards on 25 carries (2.72 average per carry) doesn’t look quite as horrific. He also came up with 38 of those yards and picked up two first downs on Auburn’s lone touchdown drive. So when it mattered, he got the job done. In a game like this, it’s a job well done. Next game (vs. Buffalo, 9/23): Buffalo? Good thing, they could use a breather after the win over LSU. Buffalo enters with a 1-2 record, but that lone win came against the lowest of the low, Temple. Buffalo will enter the game ranked 106th in total defense and 118th in rushing defense. That’s among 119 teams. Story continues below ↓ advertisement What this means is that after feeling like he was running in quicksand against LSU, Irons will feel as if he’s on roller blades this week, and could very well wind up with 68 yards on his first carry. He will have a short day, but a good day, and that will keep his Heisman hopes on track. Schedule: vs. Washington St. (W, 40-14); at Mississippi St. (W, 34-0); vs. LSU (W, 7-3); vs. Buffalo (9/23); at South Carolina (9/28); vs. Arkansas (10/7); vs. Florida (10/14); vs. Tulane (10/21); at Mississippi (10/28); vs. Arkansas St. (11/4); vs. Georgia (11/11); at Alabama (11/18). Boonan 0
Well any mention of his name in there will disappear after this week with him sitting out.
fearthetiger03 0
I read last night that KI won't be playing - I'm thinking Lester should run for 200 yrds by halftime
otterinbham 0
I just don't care about the Heisman. Seriously. If we're orienting our team around KI winning a Heisman, that means we're not worrying about the NC.
