Seems the last time we tryed to pull the Royal Flush we LOST!!! several years ago cause i still have the old shirt from when that happend and I believe it was the last game in Birmingham too. I don’t like it at all that Tiger Rags is reverting back to the old ‘Royal Flush†game shirt. I thought it was bad mojo when they used it back in 1990. It wasn’t the last game or home game at Legion Field but Auburn lost 16-7. Auburn also lost a share of their 4th Straight SEC championship and a trip to the Fiesta Bowl. If anyone remembers the game shirt in 1989 it was “Grand Slam Alabam†with the years 1986, 1987, and 1988 on the shirt. The “Royal Flush†shirt had the years 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, and 1990 listed. I thought they counted their chickens before they had hatched. (I think they may have even done the same with last year’s game shirt.) To my knowledge it may be the first time they have ever used the same theme to a game shirt. I know it won’t play into the outcome of the game but I’m all for staying away from the negative mojo whenever possible. Also my royal flush shirt made one heck of a dust cloth.
