LegalEagle 22
Nick Fairley thought he'd done enough academically to enroll at Auburn in the spring. He recently found out, he hadn't. The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder, who signed with Auburn in December, will have to postpone his . . . http://www.auburn.rivals.com/viewprospect....mp;pr_key=82469
Mikey 16,589
And so it goes. One of the state's journalists wrote a few weeks ago that Fairley was enrolled at Auburn and attending classes. "Thought he'd done enough"...????? WTF? There should be counselors somewhere that are able to remove all doubt. This is very disappointing. How can a player "think" they that he'd done enough? Didn't someone tell him what was absolutely necessary for him to qualify? This crap gets so frustrating. Schools have guidance counselors for a freaking reason. This is dissapointing to say the least.
Defense(clap clap) 4
Anyone have details on what he needs to do to be able to enroll? This is extremely dissapointing.
baseballman8388 0
This is big, because it is one less guy that we can put into this year's class. If he had enrolled this spring, he would not have counted towards our 25, but now it appears he will.

Texan4Auburn 1,626
Hate when something like this happens cause this means that someone on one end or the other is not doing their job. Most likely, and this is all guess work, is that he has a class that met standards at the JC and thus his counselor there believed it to meet the AU requirements. I've known some regular students that have come in and gotten their transfer hours hacked to pieces before because their JC counselor assumed it all counted. baseballman8388 0
Because he should get into school in the fall, thus being part of the fall 25.
Defense(clap clap) 4
Here's a post from the open Scout board about this. Hopefully this guy's right. ------------------------------- They checked his transcript and he was short a core class, took it as a correspondence. He's good to go now, but was too late to enroll for this semester. He'll be in in the summer.
TitanTiger 20,481
Yeah, he's done, but he'll just enroll for summer rather than spring. Not a huge deal except for not getting to go through spring drills.

It would have helped if he'd been here for Spring, but at least he'll still count on last year's signees? Right?
