hccobb 0
Hey gang, my wife is slated to graduate from UF in December with a PhD in biomedical engineering. She's been looking for a gig for months to no avail. If anyone hears anything about an industry position I'd be interested to hear about it. She also has an undergrad from AU in chemical engineering, and a masters in biomedical engineering from UF. We want to stay in the southeast if it's at all possible; but we would listen to the midwest ideas too. Thanks guys, and War Eagle.
Bottomfeeder 244
I'd advise her to find a teaching job with the State of Florida.

Ranger12 46
Bro, Huntsville is getting covered up in that industry. My wife, who already has Radiology Tech and MRI Tech degrees, was considering going back into biotech at one time. My wife & I are moving back to Hoover at the beginning of the year. Florida is called, "GOD's waiting room" for a reason. Lawyers rule this state. Despite being a blue state, Florida is a much, much more hostile state to the plaintiff than Alabama and that's not up for debate. I don't want to derail your thread, but I couldn't pass up refuting this bogus charge. The agenda-driven corporate barons that run America will tell you otherwise, but their every breath drips with a political motive that can be uncovered with even the most half-hearted of efforts. I know attorneys that have left FL to return to AL. And it's not because it's warmer here, either. Glad to have you returning to Alabama, though! I personally don't blame you one bit. I won't say the firm yet; but the fact that they're flying her up there from Gainesvegas bodes well. Trying to stay reservedly excited.
