But first - my latest blog (not a recycle, a re-post as it was "blowed up" in system maintenance; but no worries, love the mods and uber-talented webmasters here   :hellyeah: ).  In praise of Jeff Grimes, masheth forth here:

NOW!   On to the post (warning:  a Friday Viagra post!) . . .

Sweet mother of spontaneous combustion . . . .

* Cam is not 6' 6". He is 6' 7", 255, legit 4.5 . Not my opinion, Gus's.  Speaking in Decatur this week, Gus: "He passes the look test and he is bigger than some of their DE's. We'll send him off the bus first. Having Cam will allow us to run the zone read, which they did not have last year."

* With our RB depth (espec. with Dyer coming in to spell Mario and OMac) Gus will have both six shooters in his holster. He did not last year. Gus: "TE/Fullback Lutz and Eric Smith gives him the players that allow him to keep 11 on the field and we will pick up pace big time this year and keep opposing defenses from subbing. Last year was SLOW AS MOLASSES for me."  Let me repeat . . . WE HAVE NOT EVEN AS YET SEEN THE TRUE GUS MALZAHN FAST PACE. I'm jacked, even adjusting for pre-season hype and hyperbole. (Maybe you're starting to "get" why even SaBear said it was the Auburn game that concerned him in terms of the short week and AU off week. He knows what Gus is assembling).

* From watching the bubble workout drills on the AU EveryDay webcasts - the coaches worked the living bejeebers out of our guys. I fully expect - yes, I'm going out on this limb - to even see a faster and more agile, experienced WR in Kodi. Not to mention the more naturally gifted WR's that we're just flat out stockpiled with. Even Sanders and Curry have a jump to get PT due to early arrival, which will be huge until Jake and Ladarius can hopefully contribute. In short, agility, strength, mobility, HOSTILITY.

* On "D", get ready for quite a few "scoop and scores". Chizik himself is heavily coaching (not just Roof) how to tackle from behind, and hammer the football with your right hand. Followed by other defenders yelling BALL, BALL and the Demond scooping it and takin' it to the house. Mark it. I think fatigue and being out of position last year accounted for some of the poor tackles, not the Ted Roof "philosophy".

Bring. It. On. Just a few short months.       :tdau:    :hellyeah:
