aubieclaws 0
Kentucky just signed the No8 prospect in Basketball Terrance Jones..They say he just opted to sign financial aid papers rather than a letter of intent... What's the difference in the 2? http://www.pheedcontent.com/click.phdo?i=a98ed6f903a594a596702de700beaa19
MotownAUfan 0
The way they put it on ESPN was that just signing the financial aid papers allowed him to go to another school if Calipari bolts for the NBA.

Now why not have all other UK players sign that also?

Mikey 16,598
We don't really want that in large numbers. The school has no control over the player, he can leave and transfer to another school on a whim. Kentucky agreed to this with a super prospect. If Joe Average had requested this treatment he'd have been laughed out of town. Expect the NCAA to put a screeching halt on this practice in a hurry. Cousins would have played at UAB last year if they had done this for him, but they didn't.

Most schools probably back off of a kid if he was to request it. They would in my opinion want a stronger commitment. Just a guess though.
El_Cid2001 0
Does it force the student to take student loans at any point? Or can they still get the full athletic scholarship ride for the year?
