I think a lot of this discussion goes back to the point Mickey made about "closing" the border, which I_M4_AU endorses. Closing the border is not the final answer. However, "controlling" is the better option and should be our goal. Currently, our government does not do a good job of controlling our border. In summary, we need to control the border and be selective, becasue imigrants are the future of our economy.

I believe the US is gearing up to increase manufacturing of products that have been produced in China. This will require the need for employees in that sector. The timing may be off for these immagrant workers, but the eventual need is on point. These employees will pay taxes and buy goods. This along with increased taxes and reduce federal spending will help drive down our deficit. What is your plan?

Closing the borders is a bad plan. Why? Because all our past U.S. representatives have run up a huge debt that needs to be reduced. Cutting spending alone will not get it done. We will have to produce (and cut) our way out of the debt issue. The US doesn’t have enough workers to increase production unless we allow lots of migrants.

I look at President as a title held by Joe Biden. Execution of the presidency is by committee. Probably common across any party.
