  1. I’m sure we’ll be seeing that play over and over on ESPN.
  2. Gus would have sent Carlson out there. He seemed convinced he could hit from 60.
  3. I don’t like going for it on 4th and 10. Pin them deep.
  4. That’s more like the Auburn I’ve come to love.
  5. And everyone forgets Bama kind of got lucky with Saban. They had Rich Rod all signed up and then he got back on the plane and changed his mind. If he doesn’t do that, the Saban dynasty at Bama likely never happens.
  6. And now CBS pours some salt on it by running “The Trials and Tribulations of Being Auburn.” Maybe they can bring up Jetgate next?
  7. It is awful OL play but it’s also on TJ. He has to have an internal clock and get that ball out quicker.
  8. I don’t know that I would call it “running” exactly.
  9. Thought for a brief moment I felt a nip this morning. It turned out to just be the downdraft from the rapidly approaching storms.
  10. I legit thought it killed the Bama fan sitting next to me. We were in the end zone Davis ran into and sitting next to a couple of Alabama fans, a son about my age and his 70+ year old dad. We had a great time during the game, some good natured trash talking and complimenting each other's teams on good plays. When the kick-six happened I looked over and the dad was white as a sheet and seriously appeared to be having a heart attack. I pointed this out to the son and he gave his dad a shake and snapped him out of it. But for a brief moment I was mentally trying to figure out what we were going to do in all the pandemonium.
  11. I agree with this except take Finley out of the equation. Put Tank in wildcat where he can see holes develop or bounce outside and get an extra blocker in there. As you said, everyone in the State knew Tank was getting the ball, so just snap it right to him and let him get the yard.
  12. I think where this ultimately ends (although I don't like it) is that the SEC, Big 12, Big 10 and ACC tell the NCAA that their services are no longer required for football. They will then set up a separate oversight body run by the conferences. To get around any Title IX issues, the schools will no longer give scholarships for football players. They will simply pay the players directly and the players can choose to use that money to go to school or not. In the end, the requirement that a player for a particular team actually attend school at that university will disappear like "tears in the rain." Major college football will become a true NFL minor league. The smaller schools will remain under the umbrella of the NCAA and will get the athletes left over.
  13. Bobo every time he thinks about using Tank…
  14. The failure to use Tank is #1. One the drive where Auburn got the ball with around 5 minutes left, we get the big play action pass and the not ONE run play with Tank. Result: punt. And not running Tank on 4th and half a yard is inexcusable.
  15. How much would we have to donate to finally get a clock that works in Jordan-Hare?
  16. This is also a very strong possibility.
  17. I think this also plays against Kiffen's strategy of going for it on 4th down a lot. When done sparingly, it can be effective because the defense is used to thinking they only have to defend for three downs. If they get a stop on third down they are usually hyped up and ready to run off the field...then suddenly they have to defend a fourth down and get re-focused. They can get caught off guard. Now that everyone knows Kiffen goes for it a lot on 4th down they have prepared accordingly and the defense is expecting they will have to defend 4 downs. It becomes less likely that you are going to catch them off guard or catch them in a situation where they have to suddenly get re-focused.
