  1. I really liked Tre Mason, but I think as good as he was, he was in a good place at a great time, in 2013, with our offensive strategy and oline. I think Pettway has the tools to be one of the greats.
  2. I could see it working out. If he develops Stidham, we will be fine. I'm more scared that Gus will get in the way. But that was bound to be a concern with any OC hire.
  3. I don't think Gus could get anyone to come here. And the guys he could get, JJ probably didn't want. This is who we are now. We have to deal with it. Lol
  4. Fact of the matter isK Steele came here to win and Malzahn didn't
  5. He's going opposite what he planned. He's as crazy idiot
  6. He didn't even give White a shot! Hell with this!
  7. I think that the second one is the "official" depth chart, and the first one was a predicted.
  8. Yea Marlon starting is a big deal. Auburn's favorite golden boy defensive end didn't even start for game one as a freshman. Marlon is going to be a good one.
  9. Oh man! our defensive line is going to be ridiculous this year!
  10. I can see a three wr set with Myers and Stove on the outside and Kyle on the inside being a lot like Obamanu, Aromashadu, and Mix. Now that was a good receiving core!
  11. I'm still not worried about the rb's. Horton is a hell of a coach, and Malzahns offense is designed to let running backs eat if they want. Bubba Pettway is going to have a big year! WDE
  12. It'll be JJ. I can feel it. One thing I think will go into that decision, along with SW not having the legs, is the fact that we open this season on a hugggge stage. There is no way JF3 would come out of that game mistake free.
  13. I completely agree that Sean is a better QB. My reason behind thinking JJ has the edge, is that JJ has shown that he's a better option to run those read options, that we all figured out we desperately needed last year, to be successful. With the unknowns in the WR group, I just don't see how Sean can be used to his full strengths. If Gus sees some promise in the WR's, Sean will probably get the nod.
  14. This is what I'm feeling now, too. During the spring, I was convinced that JF3 was the guy, but it just doesn't seem like he's getting enough first team work. I don't think this JJ thing is over, and this is a bold move by Gus. If he trots JJ out there against Clemson, and our offense looks like it did last year, it's going to set a negative tone for the rest of the season. On the other hand, with there being so many new faces on offense, I can kind of see why you would want some senior leadership to be out there.
  15. Can anybody else remember a time in the last 30 years that we were in a situation where we have basically a completely new team of skill players?
  16. Compared to yesterday, we aren't seeing too much today. Is there a reason?
