  1. Fact is if we did that to them our fan base would love it. I wish the rival stuff would stick to just over beating them and seeing them lose. Trying to pretend we are better people and all of that is crazy to me
  2. Our guards aren't built like that. I think we all knew this though. I didn't think we'd really be put in that situation until the sweet 16 though
  3. Not to mention nowhere in the rules it says something being a basketball play.... Sounds like something that may stated in some other rule probably football and people said it on here because it sound good, or a popular poster said it. Nobody really looked up the actual literature. Giving him a flagrant 2 was ridiculous. Flagrants aren't new to the game, they just added to the rule basically if we don't like the player we have jurisdiction to kick him out. And our uppity fan base isn't even in an uproar about it..... We get more mad if somebody from bammer pushes us, b or calls us a name...... So frustrating
  4. What year did that happen? Different eras? Please stop talking. So you don't think that called flagrant fouls back then? There isn't a poster on here that contradicts themselves more than you. Then you argue stuff that you said because you can't comprehend it. But all that is fine. This is one thing I do. I don't ever start a conversation with you. I know it will end up stupid. How about you do that too. Now moving forward I'm not talking to you. I literally quoted the person I wanted to here from when you started up this argument.... I'm not talking to you or asking you anything. I'm not interested in your thoughts
  5. Thank you. I feel the same way. It's like I originally said the rules are so subjective what are you supposed to do with that. I know if CBM would have ever imagined you you'd get thrown out for something so nothing he wouldn't have done it. Going from you don't get elected from a game unless you try to hurt somebody to that is a huge jump. And if it was so bad then how is it the other guy don't get penalized? People are adding in basketball play and all of that off of their logic and what sounds good. It's not even part of the rule. With the way it's written, this rule is basically if the ref likes you or not. A game shouldn't have such a big potentially game altering decision up in the air. And it's crazy to me that this fan base is really letting that slide. This forum cries about fouls all the time, but with this people are cool? Thanks crazy to me
  6. Here you go with the names.... Compared to you I am a genius. Now whos hypersensitive? No it wouldn't be rightfully so. Rules are there for a reason. You are so invested in this and it's hilarious. What the funniest about this in your mind you really think that makes sense. There's no way in hell Kobe would have been thrown out for that. There's no way in hell anybody get thrown out for that in the NBA. You'll get thrown out for calling a ref a name before that. But since you want to insult (again) for the last time just don't talk to me clown. Go demonize this kid for an elbow even you can take
  7. When? The 80s? That's what an elbow is compared to? 😂
  8. I also would love to talk about the mismatched messages that are being sent to basketball players. Imagine Kobe Bryant getting thrown out of the Olympics when he ran into Pau gasol to start of the game. They literally have done a documentary, and pointed that play out as far as setting the tone for the Olympics. Coach k, LeBron, Wade, j Kidd, EVERYBODY praised it. It's competition and even though Kobe and gasol won a title together a few weeks prior, he showed there's no friendships in between those lines. Pau is literally Kobes kids godfather. Had he been kicked out this country literally isn't viewed as being the best basketball players. But meanwhile he throws a little elbow in a game he's kicked out and damn near being called a criminal. That's crazy.
  9. I'm not even talking about he's mad I started talking in this thread to try to explain to everyone how crazy it was they called that a flagrant 2. Then several people started talking culture and hurting the team and all of that. Then you quoted me asking me was I saying the fact he was thrown out didn't hurt the team and you've been going ever since. If you feel like that's grouping then that's your opinion I guess. There's no changing the fact that if you feel like that warranted being thrown out it has to be he does something you don't like because he hasn't been going around hurting people which someone suggested and by definition it doesn't really play. I must have missed any evidence you provided
  10. Nobody has yet to question the other guys character btw. Nobody talks about the slimeball hitting then putting on theatrics when he is hit back. The Karen victim acting. It's so typical
  11. I don't want to back and forth. You just don't see what I'm saying. I'm not trying to group anybody into anything. I'm trying to show you all that being tough and not letting things slide doesn't make him bad. Just because he talks doesn't make him bad. Unless we have a list of incidents where he was actually trying to hurt somebody this is merely his fan base turning on him because they dont like the way he act just like a player like Seth Williams. By the way when you say a guy 4 schools in 4 years blah blah blah then inherently you are saying going from juco to Auburn matters. And that's my point. Somebody saying that is saying that that particular way to make him seem like a habitual troublemaker but if we individually looked at the reasons why he may have transferred then maybe his transfers doesn't have anything to do with behavioral issues, so that was my point.
  12. I remembered you said you played and the reason I ask you is like I said I know you don't like the antics, I was wondering is the thrown out thing was as weird to you as it was to me. I think this is an example of where people may not understand who didn't actually play how out of norm the actual call is.
  13. I literally asked multiple people the difference between the two to see if anybody would actually try to find out. What knowledgeable people btw? Where does it says stuff about intentional, or a basketball purpose? Somebody said this that I imagine you all like so you ran with it. But if it's not in the rule book no matter how much you like the person or how much you dislike the player it's not part of it. It was unnecessary but that is the definition of a flagrant one. A flagrant two is brutal, harsh or cruel or dangerous or punishing.” The way I read that is hitting someone over and over, choking someone, a swift elbow in the chest? No way in hell. If we be honest you are taught to do that to separate from a defender anyway, you are taught to do that when you set a good screen, it actually is a basketball play if that had anything to do with anything when it actually doesn't. Btw you have no tangible evidence to say or suggest that a guy transferring means personal development problems. Do we know why he transferred? If it didn't have anything to do with fighting or something it shouldn't even be in the discussion. Most of you put everything into the discussion to sit and judge except the things that really do matter. One of the years he moved could have been to get closer to home. Moving from a small school to Auburn is a no brainier so why would that have anything to do with this? He definitely should be learning something from this though, he should know people would turn on him in a blink of an eye, and he should learn that he can't be expected to be treated like everybody else. But unfortunately that's life and society here.
  14. I'm wondering how you feel about the foul itself. I know you don't like the antics and that's your preference mine is no better than yours. But were you ok with being thrown out for that? To me the most messed up part of this is once again a good part of our fan base, let's just say aren't the biggest fans of him and because of that we don't have a unified support of that call being controversial. To me it's absolutely crazy to get thrown out of a game for something that didn't even hurt anybody. You get thrown out for causing a guy to land on his back and putting his career in jeopardy, or if you spit on someone or use a slur, or something huge like that.
  15. Can someone point out his violent fouls hurting people? Like what games did this happen?
  16. I've only seen a few altercations. I'm actually don't know all of these different times some people have mentioned. I guess it would help if we had an official list
  17. I completely agree with this. EVERYBODY should have to watch this game
  18. They are going to use their 6'8" guy..... Their guards are going to hit some shots and probably protect the ball. And I guarantee the guy that went crazy against us they are at least going to try to double him. Don't even let their confidence even dream they can win
  19. I literally said what I felt was fact and what was opinion. Of course you haven't said that at all because you haven't said why you dislike him at all because you really don't have a reason. You offered that he was playing a role as an instigator and that's not true but it's what you feel. And after saying how you felt I didn't accuse you of changing my words. If you actually think about it we can't continue this convo because you keep saying stuff without an explanation and you will just keep arguing your point without really saying it making it impossible to debate because all you have to do is keep arguing without explaining then say I didn't say that every time And I'm not the one with a narrative you are. You are the one who's wanting to make this bigger than one game. That's a narrative. I'm trying to show you how most of that isn't fact
  20. They about to get the hell beat out of them I bet 😂. And that's going to make it even worse imo
  21. That doesn't even make sense to this. In a thread where it says let's talk about the tournament not Auburn I would expect talk of a game that was just played. Now if Mark just scored 2 points then why talk about him. He scored 26 had 10 rebounds and 6 assists and was player of the game. Yeah I would expect to see his name. Add on top of that Auburn turned him down, his uncles played football for Auburn, we needed a PG..... Yeah he's going to be talked about. If you really didn't want to see his name you wouldn't have come to this thread. I'm supposed to act like he doesn't exist for you? Why would I do that. Now what I won't do is right after a loss keep posting his praises. That would be dumb on my part. Many of us was on here a long time before you were
  22. No the arky game everybody went crazy about is he got a tech for talking back at the arky guy. Not backing down. Showing that he's not afraid. Hooking a guys arm isn't considered dirty at all. If he had fell on top of the guy then maybe dirty. There's a difference between actually dirty ball and doing stuff to sell fouls. Which once again is my point, what has he actually done that was dirty, what has he actually instigated? The stuff he got in trouble for was retaliation. You can't be both the instigator and the retaliator. And yeah you was right eventually but in the grand scheme you was wrong waaay more than right. You are really disliking this guy because he won't turn his head and just take it.... That's crazy to me. A team needs a back bone. And you can't let a team think they have you or you will back down. That's how we lost at the end of the game. The Yale guy wasn't scared at all. He literally waved off his screens
  23. This is the non Auburn thread, common sense would make you think you aren't going to read Auburn stuff in this thread. Also too not everybody is completely childish. Many of us are from the state of Alabama which means friends and family attend different schools. Nobody is going to turn on their family for some stupid rivalry stuff. It's something to have fun with but I hope nobody really are considering people are evil because of a school they attended.....
  24. I brought that up too, also it's the head of the team. Seems like you would really make sure you are good at those positions
