  1. I think we can beat Bama by a healthy margin for multiple reasons: 1- Confidence 2- Jordan Hare Stadium, which boosts our confidence. We haven't looked beatable at JHS all year. 3- Our offensive strengths match up well with their defensive weaknesses 4- Our defense can stop their offense. Biggest thing though, is that the battle will be won in the trenches. If we can do that, I like our chances to beat Bama.
  2. Exactly. Against a number 1 team in the country, or even top 5, this has to be the most dominant performance in Auburn football history. I'd be interested to see Stat's take on it after he has a few more days to gather all the data.
  3. Considering the caliber of opponent, it may be the best game I've EVER seen Auburn play!
  4. What I don't get is how we, as the untrained observers, can see all these glaring issues and the stupidity of some of the coaching decisions, but he (CGM), as the "professional" can't.
  5. That's just a Friday the 13th fluke. 99/100 times Clemson would beat Syracuse.
  6. Count me in the nervous as hell camp. I would be really surprised if this game isn't close in the 4th quarter and that LSU maybe even has a chance to win.
  7. "LOL" should be the only response this ridiculous post deserves
  8. Some high quality analysis from a4e
  9. His absence felt very similar to that one time all the NFL refs went on strike and were replaced by Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles.
  10. @StatTiger saw @dmoney's post and was like, "Shiiiii I can't let this happen." Lol
  11. That is an area for improvement I see for Stidham. Right now, he waits till the receiver is open before delivering the ball. He needs to get to where he is able to anticipate the receiver being open and get it to him before the WR is open. If he can do that, which I think he'll get there with more reps, he can exploit defenses like UGA and Bama. Another area for improvement is hot routes and check downs rather than taking off running if his first two reads aren't there or he's under pressure. Again, I think he'll get there with more reps.
  12. I agree. This is "Our Picks" thing is off to a VERY poor start! ?
  13. Many have chalked up the offense being vanilla to who we were playing, but also don't consider that who we were playing had an impact on why we ran it more. GA Southern was incredibly weak against the run last year and actually did quite well against the pass. It's only smart game planning to take advantage of that.
  14. 80% of first down plays were runs... Please tell me this shifts at least 10% the other way this season.
  15. This guy is exactly what we need to win the west. To beat Bama you gotta have an elite QB who can stretch the field vertically. This is the man to do that.
  16. My worry is that we won't face an elite team until Bama, which could hinder our growth as a team. Ole Miss and UGA just aren't good. 2013 had some tests prior to Bama that really helped them grow and learn how to beat more elite teams.
  17. I'm really digging the speed and power combination of the players we have run with the ball. Pettway reminds me of Rudi Johnson and Eli Stove and Stanton Truitt make me think of Percy Harvin. The rushing attack overall reminds me of 2008 Florida but with a big bruising back to go along with it (though they did have Tebow).
  18. Among my most hated sports teams along with Alabama, Duke (gag), and the San Antonio Spurs.
