Listening to the Auburn recruiting podcast yesterday, the two guys reporting thought maybe one reason DP committed to Florida was because he felt Martin was committing to Auburn. They added they didn't know for sure. I guess we'll find out for sure on the 24th.

I was just listening to the Auburn recruiting podcast on al.com and regarding Bo one of them said he would be very surprised if Bo didn't sign with Auburn.

I'm trying to keep those positive waves, man but some of the most recent recruiting news, mainly Pierce, has left me with those negative waves.

I just watched some of his highlights and if they feel he won't be able to cut it at. QB he looked like he would make a darn good RB

Gus and Rhett obviously are to blame for naming JJ the starting. QB and not know he was not anywhere near ready to be the starting QB. With CCL as OC I don't think you will see that mistake being made again...at least I hope not.

I know a lot of people on this board, myself included, keep talking up whether or not we get JF in 18 and Bo in 19. We shouldn't forget about JG. From what I have read he is far from a finished product at QB but he does possess all the ability in the world. And most importantly, he has stayed committed to AU for quite a long time. I hope we get both JF and Bo but as they say, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

I keep forgetting about Borges on staff. It was a couple of nights ago when I watched the 2004 SEC championship game when the Tigers kicked the vols a$$ back up on rocky top.Borges was the person who orchestrated Jason Campbell's turnaround. Now. If CCL is the OC we think he is, Auburn's quarterbacks appear to be in very good hands

I doubt it will ever happen but, in my opinion, the only way bama will ever be taken down is a Gene Jelks type implosion. But, like I said it will probably never happen. I guess the REC learned their lessons from the Jelks episode

What irks me is the fact Bama seems to rarely go through something like this. They get one 5* QB they get another 5* to add to the class. Bit, if we get JF there is what seems to be a more than slight chance this Bo will take his talents elsewhere. I hope I am just over reacting to all of this situation.

I am certainly glad Auburn landed this big cat LB. Was uga ever in the running for Harris? If they were this makes his commitment even sweeter.

I agree Orgeron is a very good recruiter. But as far as talent from Louisiana who does he have to go up against?

I read an article on SEC Country and talking about Joiner they didn't seem to see what all the fuss was about. Apparently they didn't think he was the be all to end all.

From everything I read earlier it seemed Miller was a lock for bama. Is the times they are a changing for Miller and Auburn?

Anybody remember Place Kicker John "Rat" Riley? As I remember he knocked home several over 50 yards which included, I believe, a school record 57 yarder. I admit I may be wrong because I am going by my memory, which doesn't work like it used to.

One player whose name I did not see mentioned was punter Connie Frederick. I will never forget that fake punt against bama in the 69 IB.

As far as place kickers go I know he didn't have the numbers as others listed but I like Gardner Jett. As I remember he was pretty accurate which included a field goal and two EP's in the "Punta Bama Punta IB in 72. I still remember Gary Sanders call, "Gardner Jett on to attempt the biggest extra point of his career. Snap, kick, goodddddd. With timeout on the field the score is Auburn 17, Alabama 16.
