ua only had 19 first downs, and one of them was a 65 yard pass on the last play of the game that should not have counted. They had some success on 1st down, but I don’t think that number gives an accurate picture. I prefer the “didn’t covert on 3rd down until the fourth quarter” number :-)

So pretty much every put with this guy would be a real threat as a fake.

I've pretty much quite looking at stars almost completely, in favor of looking at position ranking (unless the player is ranked as an athlete, which doesn't always translate as well). I would like to see a day when AU has at least one or two top 15 players available at each position. Those are typically game changing players.

Not trying to be a jerk in any way, but that's reaching a bit. We are closing in on February. Hurt was the #3 247 composite dual threat QB around this time, and everybody knew who he was. Willis might turn out to be awesome, but IMHO, if we were looking at him as a Jalen Hurts type talent, he would have gotten his committable offer a lot sooner. I'm rooting for him all the way, but I'm not a fan of acting like someone is our top choice when it's pretty clear that was not the case. I'm a fan of ANYONE who dons the orange and blue, but I'm of the age where I like to be realistic, too. JMHO.

That is great news, b/c in the AL/Miss All Star game, TD was absolutely outstanding. I love the way he plays LB. He has the potential to be a very, very good LB for us.

These kinds of comments always kill me, like the coaches wouldn't go after an elite talent unless the cupboard was completely bare. Sean should not have seen the field his first two years at AU (too small, needed time to beef up), but he is a good QB. Barrett, from what I've seen, is a very good QB, with potential to be more. If you can get a Stidham, you get a Stidham, no matter who else you have. I think that there is a *good* chance that JS wins the starting job, but I also think that Woody and Sean give him a solid run for us money.

I'm completely baffled by Gus. It's like he has dementia. The one place I would *expect* to see a possible QB change is near the goal line, and that would be to put in your wildcat, which would be JF3. Why on earth you go with JJ down there?

JJ is not the guy, period. He just doesn't have the killer instinct, I don't care how big he is.

The good news is, the defense really looks good (to me). If we could just find an offense to go with it... (how weird is that to say about CGM???)

With Alabama able to purchase almost any recruit they want, and with it becoming obvious that Gus doesn't know how to play call without a true dual threat QB, I would think it is going to be VERY hard for us to land another quarterback like that. UAT will just pick them up as they come along, just to keep them off our team, if nothing else.

Our offensive players are not this much worse than Clemson's defensive players. I hate to say it, b/c I LIKE Gus, but this is all on him. He has had more than enough time to know what he has to work with. It seems like his only answer to the need to adapt to different personnel is to throw some stupid gimmick play in. We have enough good players on this offense to at least move the ball some.

He is the least mobile and slowest thinking QB on the roster, judging from last year. Great arm, but he is very slow to read the defense, and maybe it's his size, but he just doesn't seem very coordinated. If we can't block, roll him out. Call *something* that gives whatever players we have in there a chance. I feel terrible for SW, who was given no chance, and I don't know what JJ is going to do in this offense right now, either

Weird, we never pick a starting QB, and now are QB and offense can't get in sync. Who would have guessed it? I suppose we can just run the same old two running plays over and over.

Nope, defense can't keep this up all game. We'll get wiped out when they get tired of being on the field all of the time.

WTF!!! This is on Gus. We've had FOUR PLAYERS take the snap in three drives. Grow some balls, and pick a QB, Gus! This is literally incompetent.

Well, he's full of it if he does. Gus is not giving SW, or anyone on the offense, a chance. He has to call plays for the players he has, and he has to show SOME kind of trust in his offensive players.

Worst play calling that I have ever seen. Gus might as well hold up a sign that says he doesn't have faith in his players. If he doesn't start calling plays for THESE PLAYERS we are going to get hammered.

As long as your provider has a deal with espn3, and a lot of them do, you should be able to stream the game from the espn3 website. It's not HD quality (despite what it says), but it's decent. Last week I just ran a DVI to HDMI cable from my laptop to my flat screen and watched the game on my television that way.
