The deadline for Fall sports to be in the portal and play immediately wthin the SEC is February 1st. For Winter sports it's May1st. Aden entered the portal around April 20th, a week & half before the winter sport deadline. Link

@phillyeagle The NCAA could still at the moment if they wanted to but they chose not to by changing their own rules to where transfers can play immediately. Conferences can still go above that & set their own internal conference transfer rules.

@Zeek I agree if we lose 2 more but where have you seen we wanted at least 1 more transfer? JLee has said for a week or more that it's an option to take 1 more but that we weren't definitely going to.

@AUpreacherman22 Sounds like the staff will be good if they only add 2 more players, ILB & CB. but will keep an eye out at other positions. Khalil Jacobs, USA LB just visited AU. And 4* transfer CB Javion Cole from San Jose St. is visiting next week. Staff has been out making eval visits on 2025 & 26 class kids.

JC overhyped it. It wasn't really good. It wasn't bad either though. Basically he is OVing USC, AU, & Colo the 1st 3 weekends in June in that order and will have a final decision before his SR year starts.

@cole256 Nost of the ones we had before the incoming freshman class & transfers we brought in since January simply aren't good. They couldn't run the correct routes, much less catch the ball.

@DAG OU historically has not been a great road team, even against less talented teams. That was in a Big 12 that's weaker than the SEC. Life on the road in year 1 in the SEC could be tough for OU. Also AU is their 1st SEC road game. The atmosphere will be nothing like they have ever seen in the Big 12, especially when you factor they never had to go to Austin to play Teexas.

Going forward, let's please start a new thread for each player when a transfer commits to AU like we have always done. When I have time, I have quite a bit of cleaning to do in this thread with the various commits.

@AuburnNTexas No. Rankings for 2024 high school signing classes remain the same. Any high schoolers who sign & end up elsewhere will be credited to their new schools as transfers, not high school signees.
