  1. It's 1 year. An excellent bridge piece to the young cats in this class.
  2. @woodford It's close to NSD so he may just keep his formal signing as also when he will publicly flip.
  3. Why would we roll out red carpet for a UGA transfer? We want to land him so why not orange & blue carpet? lol
  4. @woodford He's not signing on NSD. He's signing 2 days later on his birthday. And flipping then would probably the best time to do it if he were to flip because virtually 0 time for Bama to put pressuire on him to flip back.
  5. @AUwent I wasn't. RW has been compared to next year's talent, not this years. He will have his chance to pass CC at the Under Aumour All Star week. When recruits reclassify they almost always drop in rankings.
  6. @I_M4_AU it was an assumption by some AU fans.
  7. That's assuming that top shelf QB wouldn't be way behind on PT on the learning curve of our offense. Which likely would not be the case.
  8. Hopefully the WRs will run the right routes more often so he doesn't have to.
  9. Won't matter. New people will ask & the rest of us will forget.
  10. Another translation. A good number of our current WRs aren't good at football. A top transfer QB ain't going to make them much, if any better.
  11. The calendar just doesn't allow for a good way to do it in that order unless you made ENSD in late July or early August.
  12. Well think about it this way. No matter who we may bring in will be way behind PT on the learning curve of our O & most would be heavy underdogs to beat him out for QB1.
  13. And a big upgrade at WRs who hopefully read Ds better than the last batch & run the correct routes.
  14. @1716AU 1. Yes. 2. because it is a loss whether there is something better coming or not.
  15. @gr82b4au the players who have signed before the 20th haven't signed their NLIs regardless of what any AU reporter has said. They have signed their grant papers which allows them to take part in bowl prep. NLIs signed on the 20th do not allow for bowl prep because they are intent contracts for the next academic year.
  16. @War to the Eagle Yes. Otherwise we would be QB shopping right now. All indications, including Freezes words at his presser, indicate we are not QB shopping.
  17. Yep. We gave him an offer that got him in the portal. It wasn't high enough to keep Bama from countering though. They did & locked him back up.
  18. January & early Feb with no games & no open portal window is a much less hectic time.
  19. That would be jusy as hectic for Coaches as it is now in December. Trying to finish a recruiting class plus be focused on meaningful regular season games...No thanks!
  20. @aujohnson actually, it would be better to eliminate ESD altogether and go back to the February signing period andkeep this part for the transfer portal as we have it. Also, since transfers don’t sign national letters of intent what they sign is not binding. The only thing that binds transfers is enrolling and starting classes at the current or new school.
  21. Assuming they all panned out, which we know statistically half do at best.
