GCU retake the lead 58-55. Then allow a 5 point possession with missed rebounds off free throws. Bama up 4 now with just under 5 left.

I honestly would rather dismiss Dean and Lenti immediately and elevate on staff to finish the year. See if something changes. Then make a hire end of season. This season is already toast for postseason. He's just going to throw Maddie every game except Saturday each weekend. I think we actually have some hitting talent. Wrong approach or something at the plate.

Keep an eye on Kentucky situation. A lot of steam on Cal not being the coach next year. Sounds like majority of fans and boosters want him gone but the boosters will back whatever AD decides. Tough call for the AD. Risky to let him go (and possibly to Louisville??) Along with the crazy recruit class going, but he's been less effective than Tubby was since we broke them in 19. Could lead to some deciding to sign elsewhere. Kentucky still sells itself with its history and prominence in this basketball state. So maybe not.

Completely agreed. We were up 7 with the ball. Get in doubles and we likely free ourselves up a bit to try and push the pace. Am a bit surprised we allowed them to dictate pace so much. They actually weren't as impressive defensively as I thought they might be. The big man was definitely not as forceful as I thought.

That stretch of 4 straight possessions with a turnover killed any chance of seizing the control at the end. I believe there was like 6 mins left about then and we were still up 8. They missed a few shots but my goodness if we get a couple of buckets there, it's out of reach.

I'm mostly upset because I genuinely thought I'd we can just make it past the first weekend, we would win the whole thing. The depth would start to make a difference.

I do think if we could have ever gotten up 15, we would smoke them because everyone would have started playing loose. I'm sure the team probably felt it too that we just could not shake off this team. And for as bad as the calls were to us, they called some bad ones the other way. Yale just gave a masterclass of selling everything at critical times. Just about every 50/50 went in their favor which kept them in it. But when it came down to it ... Yale started making those big shots that all Cinderellas do. WE STILL HAD SEVERAL CHANCES TO WIN THE GAME. Missing the front end of the one and ones killed us as well as Tre with the chance to Tie it at the line. Championship teams make those. We didn't. I was really hoping Broome made that bucket when we fouled out the big man. I think we Tie it there and win. Would have been the most KD thing ever to make that last 3 .. wouldn't it? Lol

They kept Taylor (i think that is his name) bottled up with ZERO space. The one time in the 2nd where he parked near the timeline and the Fla bench, was the cleanest look he had all day and he drained it.

I wish they would figure out a way to finish the conf tourneys a week before the bracket reveal, like the women do. Maybe move the season up a week on the major conferences like they do the mid majors, as well as the women's games so they can still have their weekend. Then the women selection sunday is 2nd Sunday in March, a week removed from the games; and the men selection sunday stay on the 3rd Sunday, a week removed from the games. That way you take the conference tourney into account.

To further illustrate the bracket disparity, the Kenpom totals of the top 4 read as this: East - 20 (UConn - 1, Aub - 4, IAST - 5, Illinois - 10) The other three range from 41-43. East is twice as difficult as any of the other 3. LOL But now that the field is set, we have a perfect opportunity to proclaim our Blue Blood status. Run through this gauntlet to reach the final 4, we will have done this feat twice.

And ST Mary basically is a home game for them.

If we find a way past UConn (which is probably the only team in this dang tourney I would call us a Longshot to win), we will win the whole damn thing.
