  1. Well, I did hear that he was knocked out by a LBer, they cleared the bench and the QB was threading the needle.
  2. FMPOV, popularity being defined as the favor of a particular group of people, in this case the judges. The winner is the most popular amongst the judges (whoever they might be) - like the Heisman, Academy Awards, Coach of the Year, MVP etc - Typically when there are judges involved, they are subjectively selecting a winner. As opposed to being an objective measure, such as the fastest person in the 100 M at a track meet, which would not be a popularity award. I don't know how Elite 11 is named, it may be objective or subjective.
  3. What award isn’t a popularity contest? It states on the site. ‘Poll results will not be a factor in final selection.’ This is for high school achievement, not who has the best college football potential. Be happy for the kids. Congratulations Bo!! It is quite an achievement to be singled out as a candidate over the thousands of guys that play high school football!
  4. I agree. It would be better if we could get someone that has graduated from high school.
  5. Not sure there will be many KO returns with the new rule in place.
  6. You can ask that question of just about any coach! Including the one across the state.
  7. It seems hard to believe he wouldn't jump at the chance if that is the case, given his other options.
  8. With the new rule, he can play in 4 games and retain red shirt. I would hope they would let him learn the system and then get him in some meaningful games this year if he shows out in practice.
  9. Welcome to Auburn. Now get down to Auburn for Big Cat and help get some big guys to line up next to you!
  10. So you are saying you don’t know Who’s your Daddy?
  11. UMass played UT last year and were winning until their QB got hurt in the 2nd half. So he has played against SEC talent already.
  12. Let's say he can excel at both. He would make a lot more money in football than track, but also risk more life-long injuries from football. Given that he is willing to play football, I would say he needs to concentrate on improving his football skills. Running track may get the attention of scouts that he may not receive if he didn't, so he should probably keep competing in track as well.
  13. In this new era of bitcoin, it will be impossible to catch anyone. Unfortunately for Ol Miss, they 'missed' this trend by a few years.
  14. War Eagle! Here’s hoping our coaches and all the recruiting services know more than the fans, just this one time!
  15. He is number one in my book, if that matters to you!
  16. The second coming of BO! Justyn time for all the Stud wide receivers to get (or stay) on board and for all the offensive lineman that want to protect the future Auburn superstar to join the family! WDE!
  17. Does playing close enough for family and friends to go to his games matter to him?
  18. Is it possible that a lot of these plays were RPO plays that JS chose the run because that is what he was reading from the defense?
  19. If you wait until they have proven it on the field, it wouldn't be much of a prediction, would it?
  20. I think Bo Nix has a good chance to be the best QB ever to play for Auburn. He may not have the size of CN, JS, JF or other guys. However, the individual tutoring he is getting from his dad on reading defenses, checking down, being able to audible, and film study habits will set him apart, especially if we are able to hold on to CCL.
  21. All fans make excuses for why their team didn't get a player that committed to a rival... 1. We didn't want him 2. We had someone higher on our board 3. Didn't have a "committable" offer 4. There were some personal issues our coaches didn't want to deal with 5. We have a silent commit from someone better and my favorite response is 6. He asked our coaches to top XXX's cash offer and we told him we don't bend the rules at Auburn!
