Don't forget Fields went from hoping to get an offer from Mercer a year or so ago, to everybody's must have QB so apparently, these kids can improve with hard work and practice.

If we get an early signing period, it may change how recruits and coaches handle their decision process. I think it will add some interesting situations to an already interesting process.

Preferably to a school that runs a similar offense to Chip's offense. Of course, I do know that High School is for more than just playing football, but they do have girls at most high schools.

The QB at USF looked pretty good, too, and I doubt he was a high star guy coming out of HS. Look what MSU picked up as a QB to take over from Dak. Houston, KSU, VT, and many other QBs have looked good and weren't 5 * prospects out of HS. Picking a QB out of HS is a crap shoot and I am not sure the guys in the recruiting services are any better at picking the next Lamar Jackson than the coaches.

It is too bad Auburn doesn't offer some on-line "between semester" classes that would allow some individuals to get a head start on the next semester.

What would be the first game he could play if he does enroll for Spring semester?

I don't like to see 'wildcat' anywhere but the goal line or 4th and short, assuming you don't have a QB that can get a yard by himself (Cam). In those cases, the defense is going to bring in extra linemen anyway so having an extra blocker helps the offense and you eliminate the hand-off which often times is the reason you get stopped in those cases either because of the extra time to exchange or the dreaded bobbled hand-off.
