  1. Now that is an impressive write-up. Well, I see the write-up did not attach itself. Doesn't matter. Everyone read the write-up E attached regarding Gatewood. Thanks E.
  2. Hill was very, very good in the UA game. On the field, he was multitalented, catching passes and returning punts. He sure looked like WR is the right position for him. Hope he sticks!
  3. Watched some of the game yesterday and Hill had a very nice punt return; it had to be around 40 yards. We may have several talented people to choose from as punt returner.
  4. I think we will get Bo. That being said, if he does go elsewhere, it might break the internet from AU fans going off! If our staff can't pull this in state legacy, we are in trouble. We all know you have to have a very good QB to have success. Well, this is our guy and everyone following college football knows it.
  5. Glad we stuck with Daquan and that he stuck with us. I remember watching his HS video and he was a freak RB in HS. He had some crazy game stats; like 8 runs 5 TD's and 190 yds in single games. He has a lot more experience now and that should help him to hopefully contribute early.
  6. Yes. Shivers is a load. He has a low center of gravity huge thighs and has moves like you mentioned. I hope we find lots of ways to get him the ball.
  7. I think the same. Will be something to have 2 of the fastest HS players sign with us in the same year. Now, does either have returner skills we need in addition to their position skill.
  8. There are many rumors floating on twitter that KJ is leaning towards staying. This would be great. I think E and others have posted that there are a ton of really highly rated RB's that will be in the draft this year and it might make sense for KJ to hang around one more year. KJ is one of my all time AU favorite players. Great, cool kid. Bright, respectful, impressive in everything he does. If you don't follow KJ on twitter. Give him a follow.
  9. A couple of observations. 1. Schwartz seemed a bit underused. He is the fastest HS player in the country. You would think he would have had more touches and more yards. The answer could be that he was playing on a very talented, nationally ranked, state championship team. 2. Schwartz is the fastest kid in Fl. Does everyone realize that the second fastest is Shivers? How exciting would it be to get the 2 fastest kids from FL. 3. Speed kills. You can't teach it. This week the UCF running back stated AU does not know what speed is and we are going to be in a world of hurt when we play them. Good bulletin board material, but it would be great to sign both Schwartz and Shivers. I want the fastest skilled players at AU!
  10. No man. I had no filter yesterday. We're good. Thx
  11. Ahh. I see. I guess my sarcasm sense is lacking today. thx
  12. Clayton, not sure I get this. I did not suggest that nothing happens in recruiting till this kid signs, I am on this site almost daily and enjoy it. I wanted to just keep the discussion going on this recruit and start a separate discussion on the new 10th coach as several pages of this thread turned into a new coach discussion.
  13. Ok. Someone should start a discussion topic on the 10th coach. Let's use this thread to talk about our new RB commit, Mr Jackson. Thanks
  14. Welcome to the family! Guess Deondre might be our Joey Gatewood from the 2020 class.
  15. Great News. So happy to have this guy. He is 25n years old. I guess he knows he has to work towards a degree too? Is he an early entry?
  16. Golf, thinking about you and ur wife. Hope everything went well.
  17. I just rewatched Worms highlights. Kid has the it factor. He is very tough, wicked fast, has great eyes and can cut. He also doesn't goof around. He sees the hole makes a cut and then he is gone. We are very lucky to have him. He will quickly become a huge favorite with fans. Momma, looks like you raised a great kid. When he scores, which looks like it is a lot, He doesn't go crazy celebrating; he finds the ref and tosses the ball to him, then he looks for his teammates. Very cool!
  18. Welcome to the family. Our linebacking group looks to remain strong with a terrific coach and recruiter.
  19. Awesome! AU is killing it on the recruiting front right now.
  20. That quote was a full high school season ago. Apparently he has gotten a lot better this year. Awesome for us!
  21. Seriously need a guy like this. 24 years old. I hope he does not mind enrolling in college classes
  22. Personal opinion on Kelly. He is a short term success person. He will not have Nike's funding that helped him greatly at Oregon. He left Oregon partly because he was going to be in trouble with the NCAA. He has not proven he can have long term success anywhere. He is a big name, but no guarantee as a coach. I think he may pick up very good recruits in the short term, but will it last?
