Two pairs of arch rivals, fascinatingly (in both rivalries, I prefer the 2023 teams--sorry Bo lol).

My proposal: -12 team playoff... -...BUT eliminate conference championship games. -Every conference champion will be determined the way the ACC, Big 12 and (in its last two seasons, RIP) the Pac-12 determine two teams. -The six highest ranked conference champions get auto bids, though not necessarily getting first round byes (will still be seeded via selection committee). -Seeds 5 and 6 will host the first round, while seeds 7-10 play at neutral site games (rotating between Cotton and Citrus AND Peach and Las Vegas). -Seeds 1-4 get a first round bye. Seeds 1 and 2 host quarterfinals, while seeds 3 and 4 play at neutral site games (rotating between Rose and Sugar AND Fiesta and Orange). -The NC is still bid on, just can't be a semi site that year. Wa-la, I've negated at least SOME of my concerns about people being able to afford travel AND gotten two additional bowls in the mix (sorry, the Citrus Bowl should be on at least the same level as Cotton and Peach!).

Surprised no response to my post earlier...as much as on principle I dislike the idea of adding majors like that, unfortunately we really need to if it keeps getting us bit in the TP. Getting this guy could be EXTREMELY important.

I'd like to think so, but (as per usual, admittedly) I'm a little nervous about if we can close this one. tOSU, Miami and USCw are also looking (though they'll likely take Will Howard, Malachi Nelson and Jordan McCloud).

This game is sooooo pleasant to watch now that Michigan won. Unpopular opinion (as a casual Texas fan), I don't want either team here to lose lol.

And doing that is made harder if we're getting the hardest rivals. Gus was by and large keeping us afloat and we were still miserable.

To clarify, I meant playing all three of the original "Amen Corner," regardless of the timing. As down as Florida is right now, Billy should leave a pretty good cupboard and they should be a very attractive gig next year. UCF is currently the favorite. I’m serious, I’m ok with letting RW go (seems like a long shot anyway) if it means throwing the book at KJ.

I get ya—it’s why I was ok with 6-6 *this* year—but if we can’t get the ball to the receivers we have it heightens the risk of them transferring. I was ok with Freeze erring overwhelmingly on the side of recruiting for his first year but he will start needing to move more in the direction of equilibrium between the two each of the next couple years.

My point is I'm good conceding him now if it means more time to go after a transfer QB. Anything to be able to win one more game. Every time we've been at the end of teh season talking about how we shouldn't expect any additional wins and just hoping for "improvement"...it hasn't gone well.
