  1. He was always great in describing the uniforms 😁. Seriously though I was shocked by this. Eli had been there for a long time and whether you love or hate Bama Eli was the voice of Bama and from all the Bama fans I know young and old still liked him. Seems strange to me.
  2. Alabama commit Jaylen Mbakwe says five-star WR Ryan Williams is a 'lock' to commit to the Crimson Tide Alabama commit Jaylen Mbakwe says five-star WR Ryan Williams is a 'lock' to commit to the Crimson Tide (msn.com)
  3. Do teams let the ones that opt out still travel and get all the bowl gifts?
  4. Are we sure this wasn't just a case of "wrong place wrong time"?
  5. Not sure if that is sarcasm or not....but if not just google Clesi Crochet.
  6. Just ask Bryan how Clesi is doing, that will shut him up.
  7. Not tampering since he can't transfer back really. But definitely rubbing it in his face. To me it's on the same lines as "sucks to be you right now doesn't it." If Saban was wanting to give him a compliment it would have been more in the tone of "I really hated to see you leave, you are a great player. Sorry we never got to see you reach your full potential at Bama. I wish you all the best".
  8. Yeah Beth said multiple times to tune in to the post game presser to hear more about the Hunter situation ...... and nothing. Jeez can she stir the pot or what. She point blank said Auburn is cheating when she said Auburn "poaches players from other teams".
  9. He's also opening a bar/club in College Station. My son is at Texas A&M and said folks are excited. I'll definitely check it out next time I visit him...... for "research purposes" 😁
  10. Buddy Anderson......now that is who articles should be written about. Didn't agree with all of Buddy's ideas/rules/etc..... but want a HS coach that kids respect and will make a better person out of your son, that's your guy. There is a reason Buddy is in the Alabama HS Hall of Fame.
  11. Anyone know the apartment situation in Pell City? 🀣
  12. What does he have left to prove......... That he can only have 1 family, that he can coach with out being corrupt, that he can coach without cheating, that he can be a decent man, that he can be a role model for his players to look up to, that he can have morals and ethics, ....... I think there is plenty left for him to prove.
  13. From what is being "claimed" (which is not clear from the above as there is a lot of grey area) is that Miller did not see the text from Miles about brining him his gun and was unaware it was in his car. The only facts from the above about this part is that Miles texted Miller to bring him his gun (doesn't mean Miller read it). Miller showed up to the scene, and the gun was removed from his car by Miles and Davis (again doesn't mean Miller knew the gun was in the car and that they removed it). I have had a few discussions with Bama fans in person and online and that is what they are sticking to...... 1. Miller did not see the text to bring the gun. 2. He was unaware there was a gun in his car. 3. He was unaware that it had been removed. (Of course most of the Bama fans I talked to about it bring up Cam. Not sure how paying a player is the same as murder but whenever Bama and cheating or something bad comes out most Bama fans are quick to bring up Cam.) I know I know that is all a bunch of BS. If Miller was on his way to already pick up Miles and he received a text while going to get him at that hour of the night who in their right mind doesn't read the text. Also after all he was driving a Charger which I'm pretty sure (sarcasm) notifies him that he has received a text............ Also once Miller arrived on the scene and Miles and Davis open the back door to Millers Charger and remove the gun from the car. So your friends open the back door of your car and you don't notice them get anything out or question them.......? I mean come on......... Not saying that Miller should be charged with murder but just very hard to say he was "in the wrong place at the wrong time". Just not sure how anyone can claim that he had absolutely ZERO involvement in her death. And if you believe he had any involvement in a persons death should he really get off scott free with ZERO consequences? He never even missed a practice let alone even 1 game. So there is no way to take that other then Nate and Bama believe he had absolutely ZERO involvement. Which based on the facts they are ignoring common sense......like he didn't see the text......like he didn't know there was a gun in HIS car.....like he didn't realize they opened the back door of his car that he was sitting in the driver's seat of and get a gun out....... Have also had a few Bama fans that are reasonable about it and say Miller should have never have been played until after the investigation was finished. And also after the investigation was finished should have been kicked off the team, he may not have pulled the trigger but he was involved. Also that Nate should have been fired for the way he handled the situation.
  14. None that we have had over the past several decades that's for sure. I mean seriously what did Harsin think bringing someone down from Boise that looks like that? What there was no one else qualified for that position? That's just asking for trouble whether there was actually anything going on or not. And Freeze past actions at Ole Miss and at Liberty.....not the best. There are just a lot of people very high on Freeze, I'm not one of them. You are aware where the quote "most Jesus like leader" comes from?
  15. I'll keep my comments about what I miss to myself as I am not a Freeze fan, nor was I Harsin. I know Freeze is capable of getting us back to winning just not so sure his past is far enough behind him to call it a "past" and that he has learned from his mistakes and become a better person. I guess time will tell, hopefully he will be "the most Jesus like leader" we have ever seen.
  16. I had a calendar with old program covers on them from Phil like these you posted. I had a lot of them framed and they are hanging up in my office.
  17. Killing Our Way through the SEC T-shirts And these are Bama fans wearing the shirts.
  18. In most people's opinion (even many Bama fans I know) the fact he was asked to bring the gun, he brought the gun and minutes later she was killed.......he should be suspended. Not sure how those facts that have already been proven and confirmed could go away. He obviously didn't pull the trigger but not like he was just an innocent bystander who was "in the wrong place at the wrong time". The time to suspend him was back in January at least until the facts had come out. The fact Nat chose to do nothing speaks volumes. BM hasn't even missed a practice. Kids have been suspended and even kicked off of teams for a lot less........then just you know.......bringing someone their gun that asked for it that was used to murder a mother minutes later.
  19. And the arm wrapped around the defender......... I noticed they only showed that replay from under the goal once.
  20. Articles today, while facing adversity and fighting off chants of "Lock him up" from USC student section Miller drops career high and leads Tide to victory. 🀬
  21. 100% agree with you in that if Miller had not shown up with the gun then the woman/mother would possibly still be alive and few are taking that stance or voicing that. I saw a Yahoo (don't judge) article in which the title read "Brandon Miller Could have stopped a tragedy". Seems like that view point is gaining some traction and should.
  22. Nate is pushing all his chips to the center of the table. He knows he has a run at the final four and possibly the title. I mean this is not a minor infraction here and Nate didn't even discipline Miller and from the sounds of it won't unless is pressured to. Not like Miller was just walking by, that is wrong place wrong time, sorry but he was involved in a mother losing her life. Just think of this, Miller has not even sat out a practice (unless I missed it) for bringing the murder weapon.
  23. I hear what you are saying but his writing skills were not the issue, was recognized multiple times through his HS career for some of his writing. Just another case from my personal experience, someone I work with from time to time in ATL has twins, a boy and girl. Boy had better test scores, more extracurricular stuff, service stuff, blah blah..... his dad even told me his son is more rounded person then his daughter. Guess which one got in to UGA and which one did not? And yes, they are white so even gender can play a factor. Again, I hear what you are saying but to say that race or even gender does not or cannot play a role in acceptance I just have a hard time believing, seeing as they are used to promote diversity. Since it's being used to promote diversity to me means that your race can play a factor in to your acceptance and if it can play a factor in your acceptance then it most certainly can play a factor in you not getting accepted. I get there are laws that are to protect against things like this but who is checking on college acceptance other than how many minority vs majority candidates were taken? If they would actually tell you why you were not accepted, then maybe things would become clear or prove me wrong. And no, I'm not just a parent of college kid, both my parents combined had over 50yrs of services at UofA. I know for every one of my examples someone has their own personal experiences where a minority or a female was not accepted but should have been. It is unfortunate sometimes the world we live in. If race isn't to play a part, then there should not be a box to check. He ended up where he was supposed to and is having an awesome time at college. So, in the end it worked out and he is happy as am I.
