You're thinking of Walker Kessler. His dad, brother and uncle all played for uga.
Walker was recruited by Auburn out of HS, but went to UNC. After a year with UNC, he entered the transfer portal and came to Auburn.
Thanks. Like I said, I know next to nothing about basketball and rarely (if ever) watch it.

Definitely possible. I don’t mind the Boise Boys and I think people over estimate some things. Sort of reminds me of 2003 USC and everyone saying they couldn’t deal with the heat and noise. They ended up doing just fine in the heat and noise and it was loud for about 30 minutes.
This whole "Boise Boys" chatter is absolute nonsense to me. There is nothing special about the south. Football is football. If, after a year, Harsin wants to bring in more people he's comfortable with, fine. The regional HS HCs now know who he is, the players now know who he is, the only thing lacking is time (ie., being recruited since middle school) and that wasn't going be available regardless of who Auburn hired.

Negabarners. Excellent.
Wish I could claim the term, I actually picked it up here a few years back

I know next to nothing about basketball on a good day, did I hear the announcers right that he was a UGA legacy (father and brother) and Bruce still pulled him to Auburn?

It does make you wonder how much say Harsin had on assistants with the turnover Auburn’s had.
Does it though? Maybe he realized he didn't have any real SEC connections and went after who was available. After seeing how those guys let him down in either play calling or recruiting and making his own inroads with regional HS head coaches, perhaps he's cutting bait and moving on?

First the Negabarners didn't like Mason because he was fired from Vandy then it was his zone coverage and defensive packages were a problem. Now it's a problem he is (or may be) leaving.
Pick a side already.

I’ve tried to be positive and give Harsin a pass this year. But, it just keeps getting worse. Harsin has given me no reason for “hope” that anything is going to change in the future. We take one step forward and two steps back.
Looking through your post history, I'm failing to find any sort of "give Harsin a pass".

Fire Will Friend today! How much more evidence do you need?
Right around a month to signing day, I'd be shocked if anyone on staff is cut loose prior to that.

Welcome to Auburn, young man.

I'm truly astounded that this topic is still going.
Ander's wasn't some historical landmark. Like the other shops in town, they sold overpriced textbooks to students while providing some snarky Auburn themed items for the weekenders coming in for a game.

To many big boosters are looking for a reason to get rid of Harsin and Greene.
I've heard the Greene stuff but this is the first I've heard about the big $ boosters already looking to dump Harsin. Is that a personal opinion?

Just survived my first snow day in 43 years…up here north of Atlanta! This stuff is awesome…praying it sticks around for another day. Don’t know why folks hate it so much.
I deal with snow every year and still love it. The only thing I hate about it is shoveling my driveway and sidewalk

Good thoughts for Kristi and her family. While Gus drove me batty with his coaching, he and his family are, by all accounts, good people.

JMO, but Ander's was just a bookstore. I can't say I have any real attachment to it beyond buying some books for classes there.

Catching up on this thread and I'm highly amused that people still consider PM a reliable source of information.

Y'all will get on your "not enough stars" high horses but I've been trying to get this kid to reach out to Auburn. I was back home recently for a family matter (yeah, he plays for my HS alma mater) and spent some time with his HC talking up Auburn (his coach and my little brother played HS ball together). Freshman contributor? No. Solid starter after time with college nutrition, weight training, and coaching? I could see that for sure

I've taken many Ls in my life...I just have to choose to learn from each one rather than defending a position I know I've lost out of pride.
Dude...absolute truth bomb there that goes WELL beyond most things discussed here. It's something I work on every day as well. My personal take is that every day you learn something new is a successful day, I've had many successful days learning I was wrong on something

I get not being thrilled I do. Also we have a QB whisper too who helped Bo improve this year even if we was just a little.
Also we get to see how good Austin Davis really is with QBs.
Jimbo Fisher has helped out more QBs then just Winston. Just because he has only won one championship doesn't mean he has had only one good QB.
Took me a bit but I found something at least. Jimbo's starting FSU QBs:
Crablegs
EJ Manuel
Christian Ponder
Deondre Francois
Sean Maguire
James Blackmon
Everett Golson
Clint Trickett
Maybe he was better with QBs as an OC or QB coach?

Poor Calzada can't even get on campus with most of y'all booing him. Good lord, he is a kid trying to do his best. I for one like this QB I think he did pretty good at Texas A&M. Relax let him go through spring and summer before we give up damn. 🤦Also this isn't the only one we are going after and probably won't be the last one we get. 🤷
I'm not overly thrilled with the signing but, I'll at least give him a chance. My Google skills are failing me at the moment, I'm trying to remember why Jimbo is considered a QB whisperer.
Looking at his starting QBs at FSU. The only one that really jumps out at me is Crablegs Winston.

Also if we sign another QB, 1-2 will transfer out. We are not going to have 5 QBs on the roster.
I don't see why that's a problem

Harsin and the PTB

Oh look, another post by someone that "supports Harsin and wants him to succeed".
