So many on this board can be so hypocritical. When we complained about Gus' offenses, recruiting, and anything else over his tenure, did we have this "it's his team, don't criticize his decisions" attitude?
CBH *should* run the team however he sees fit and he *should* be able to do it without any outside interference. But fans should also be allowed to feel however they want about it.
Many of us gave Double Bubble a couple years before getting all over him for his shortcomings.

He may have been. His summary lists stats for 2017 but the career stats page lists only 2018-2021. Then again, I could be reading it completely wrong...it is Monday.

The players are privy to what's happening within the team, coaches, and staff. Electing to stay vs declare for draft or enter the portal, they must like what they see and want to be a part of it.

An advantage to not being a mod...the capability to put people on ignore.
The last few pages of this thread have been a bunch of "You've chosen to ignore content by Mikey." sections

As the Head Coach, Bryan Harsin has to set a relentless, pervasive, consistent standard that every single person connected with AU football has to adopt. From on-field coaches, med staff, scholarship players, walk-ons, analysts, student support staff, tutors, whatever, EVERYONE has to be about HIS standard of excellence in what they do. No days off, no plays off, no workouts cut short, no film time cut short, no tardy slips, no indefensible brainfarts, no excuses, etc. Either perform to the standard or be processed out and supplanted by those who can. If he can set this consistent standard and maintain accountability, the recruits will come, the machine will get built, and the wins will come. If not, AU will continue down its present path to the historical heights of a program like USCe.
That's what I see from the outside from CBH and why I keep pleading with chicken little about time and patience.

Am I the only one that is getting to the point where I don’t care? I care enough to watch but I don’t get upset when we lose anymore.
Honestly, my apathy peaked with Double Bubble in charge. I'm slowly becoming more invested as the current regime makes the necessary changes and addresses the gaps left by the DA from Arkansas.

I seriously question the football knowledge of so many Auburn fans right now and if they realize the hole in which Double Bubble left the program.
That is fixin' to be my default response to so many of these chicken littles.

Agreed. I think the defense is looking fairly solid.
TJ has thrown some decent passes when he had a little more time. Tank...well, he's doing the best he can with the "holes" the OL is trying to open

Seriously, what did y'all expect?
CBH and staff can't conjure up a new roster between the end of the regular season and the bowl game.

Have you considered that Davis isn't "the future" and they've already determined that? The whole narrative of "Davis has to get snaps because it's helpful for the future" falls apart if you consider that this is only true if they actually have plans for him to be the starter here. A lot of this makes more sense if you approach it from the angle of: Davis was an inherited QB from a prior completely different offensive philosophy and perhaps he's not as good as fans want to convince themselves he is.
The most popular player on the team is always a backup QB

Tank and Shivers been my favs for past 2 season, and man they coulda been behind me at the gas station today and I'd never know.
Unless someone's like Bo Jackson/Cam Newton type famous, then I'd recognize them.
I can't be the only person like this? 😕
I'm right there in that camp with you.

IMO those post from his family reek of spoil, privileged people. He was NO more of an Auburn man than many others before him and currently still on the roster to put on that uniform. I don't see how he was treated any different than other QB from his performances on the field. Maybe his family should look at the history of some of the previous AU QB's including the ones he was giving the starting position over before whining about loyalty.

Incorrect. The staff last year had no time to get HS players and was only able to try and snag a few transfer players with little to no relationships especially coming in after early NSD. This year is their first full cycle. After 2023’s signing class we’ll see what roster management looks like. If that class resembles Gus’ classes you can have your day in the sun.
It's really not worth the effort with him. He's never wrong, just ask him. When he is wrong, he just pivots.
The guy should have just stuck with moaning about LB depth every year.

Texas A&M Transfer QB Zach Calzada Commits to Auburn

Man, y'all are some miserable folks.
Edit: Though I am expecting folks like Mikey and AUought-something to come and rip on CBH for this signing because, well...that's kind of what they do.
