  1. Absolutely no fire in these guys today. Nothing ....nada.
  2. The only thing Gus did in 2017 was ride Ryan Davis and Kerryon into the ground. Once Kerryon was out, he had no answer. It's shaping up to be a similar situation currently as we have no definitive RB2 with any real experience. I hope we find it this week or it could be a long 2nd half of the season.
  3. Their not being developed is my point. We've had 3 stars at OL as long as I've been an Auburn fan and we've had some excellent lines before. But as long as Gus keep hiring nobody's for OL coaches I guess we'll continue to have soft OLs.
  4. It's mindboggling for a coach whose philosophy is power run to set up the deep ball to not have the utmost emphasis on a top notch OL and RB monsters. Just being average or at most adequate isn't a recipe for success in this league.
  5. You might wanna read around the board the past couple of weeks. Not too many people complaining now. Gus has implemented many things that has improved the team tremendously. For the moment we're pretty happy for the most part . Sure there are still things we can improve on, but for the first time in a couple years, it looks like Gus is being PROACTIVE in making the changes to push this team towards success. It's a welcomed sight.
  6. With Nix, I don't feel he needs to be used extensively in the power run game, but a ZR keeper every 5-6 runs would keep the defense honest enough to be effective. At 6-2 210, he isn't exactly frail.
  7. That's all I needed to hear from another coach. Some of the thought processes on here are disturbing. I wanna see both these kids used in a way that promotes their talents. Namely to benefit Auburn.
  8. Lol no, just thought you might expound on the topic a little more. Considering this is a road all too familiar. Thanks for the reply and for your thoughts on the game. We appreciate it. Wde
  9. Of course it will. Trust Gus, he knows all. He has the trophy case to prove it.
  10. Not to put you on blast, so to speak, but I'm curious as to why you wouldn't speak on the fact that JG was only used as a RB. Do you genuinely support a decision to NOT get him actual game experience passing the football? I do agree the OL showed improvement "at times", but against Kent St, I'm not sure we can measure that in the win column.
  11. Well spoken young man. Excellent measurables. Like hearing Smoke is incognito recruiting as well. Wde
  12. I am convinced Shenker could be a force for this offense if they would utilize that position.
  13. Cord actually looked pretty damn quick while in the game, and of course, all he was allowed to do was run the ball....lol. The point is, what do we realistically have to lose. Give him a few series of the actual offense. Some easy pitch and catch. Maybe it will humble JS some, maybe not, but at the very least it'll give SOMEBODY a chance to see what he can or can't do. Also....why have we abandoned the TE AGAIN? The few times we've gone to it, it was successful.
  14. Tennessee would've been the best case scenario besides us signing him.
  15. C'mon bro you know you can't shade that sunshine they pump. Lol.
  16. Looks like @ellitor lost his sarcasm filter again.
  17. More like this. "If Gus expects to earn his new contract, he better go out and offer this kid. He's the hottest player in the nation right now and even Saban knows it"
  18. Some folks got their Corn Flakes pissed in this morning. Lol. And another just seems to be on an eternal pre-menstrual cycle.
  19. Gotcha...didn't even think of that ?
  20. I sure hope none of you guys are buying this BS. Oh...so we were working on young guys developing? Then why the hell didn't we see them in the game? Why didn't we at minimum see Whitlow....who they were gleaming about in other interviews? The other WRs?
