  1. I know what the score was. I also know you don't rack up anywhere close to 410 yards on the ground in one quarter. Two things can be true: 1) they got their ass kicked 2) the offense wasn't objectively bad
  2. Have y'all actually looked at the box score from this Ole Miss game? The Rebs have 650 yards of offense. 410 on the ground. Jackson Dart and the defense played like trash. But the run game was spectacular.
  3. This is a decent WKU team. Really nice win by the boys.
  4. Its a much more systematic problem than just Auburn
  5. Awwww booo! This was in the donor forum and now I have to deal with the ****-show that is the political forum because it got moved?! DAMNIT TO HELL
  6. Well that's an awfully bad comparison. (Hope you're well too!)
  7. Really good read on the topic from Chris Low before this season began. But my short answer is yes, we need some kind of Rooney Rule agreed upon in the conference (NCAA can't mandate it). Lots of great minority coaches aren't even being looked at for coordinators, much less HC jobs and that's a damn shame. When roughly 50% of the on-field assistants are Black, it stands to reason that there needs to be better representation at the HC levels. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/33977392/why-there-no-black-college-football-head-coaches-sec
  8. Hard to be proven if you don't get a shot in the first place.
  9. He's known as 8-ball in certain interweb circles for a reason
  10. Man, I don't even own a single bow tie..... Except that one for my Chris Farley routine
  11. Recruiting and scheme. Some guys we don't have that Harsin flat vetoed that Friend wanted. Also our scheme the last couple of weeks is slightly different and its paying off.
  12. We couldnt run on anyone all year. We ran well last week and tonight. Don't discount improvement.
  13. What if I told you he was held back? Notice how much better we've run the ball the last 2 weeks?
  14. All I see are a bunch of folks who don't have to make hiring decisions in their real life. Not about emotion. Its about what I see happening.
  15. None of those teams made me cry tears when they took the field. Tonight I absolutely did. Again, its EASY to be proud when we win. But seeing AU get off the mat and show some fight despite the season we've had is like a dad being proud of his kid for pushing forward despite obstacles. It hits different.
  16. You're sadly mistaken that this is about one 3 pt win and its pretty naive that you think that's the case. I'm looking at last week and how he acted as a leader and ambassador for the program. I'm looking at how players and recruits are reacting to him. I'm looking at improved gameplans and player usage. Again, I'm not saying he's THE guy. I'm saying he deserves to be interviewed seriously. Sometimes the best hires and promotions I've made have been from the unlikeliest sources because I didn't have pre-conceived notions.
  17. See above post. You're essentially punishing Carnell for having an NFL career as to why he hasn't been a coach longer. Y'all can have the retreads who haven't won **** for $10M per year. I want the energy.
  18. But zero coordinator or HC experience, which is what a ton of folks seem to think is the minimum requirement. My point is, there are plenty of good to great coaches that were not HCs before getting their first job. And if you want to hold it against Carnell for not having 15 years of coaching experience by 40 like Dabo, go ahead. Dude spent a chunk of that in the NFL. And that sells.
  19. Tell that to Clemson and Dabo.
  20. Absolutely. If winning is the only thing that makes you proud, then you don't get Auburn.
  21. Not me. Its easy to be proud when things are going well. Real Auburn showed up tonight. This was the Auburn that I love and have missed. A community pulling together.
  22. I guess for me, I don't see a hands down slam dunk hire out there. And given that, I'd rather give Caddy a look at minimum. Dude can recruit. His players are busting their asses. And the gameplan tonight was strong. If Robby can throw at all, we win by 20. Jury is still out for sure, but it would be stupid to pass on him without at least seeing what his long term vision looks like.
  23. If the players have something to say.... https://twitter.com/AuburnFootball/status/1591646343650594817?t=S-O_TAq6C4x7XxdJDVm9uw&s=19
