  1. WHERE HAS THIS PLAY CALLING BEEN ALL YEAR?!
  2. Not trying to pile on to my other comment, but wanted to add some empirical data for you, especially with regards to PA Senate. https://twitter.com/BrettLoGiurato/status/1590404211115597825?t=BzI9EppKjJzv8luuRPeYhA&s=19
  3. Not even close to accurate IMO. Dobbs has a very real impact on people. That is felt and voters lashed back against it.
  4. Partially. Partially because Oz was a bad candidate too. The data shows that the #2 driver of voter turnout was Dobbs. To ignore that is to willingly have your head in the sand. And people discount a key thing about Fetterman: he was a known quantity to the people of Pennsylvania. They had already elected him to a statewide office. Why people are stunned that he won another statewide office is beyond me.
  5. Only a few states codified this cycle. Others are refusing to put it on the ballot as abortion access is passing everywhere, so some R led state governments won't put it up for vote to the public. People are voting for it at the federal level because they want it codified.
  6. It was a combination of Trump candidates and Dobbs. Lots of folks discounting how important that decision was to driving turnout from 18-29 year olds and women.
  7. This majorly discounts the effect of the Dobbs decision. It was the #2 driver of all votes according to exit polling.
  8. This dude thinks Elon endorsing Rs helped? Wow....
  9. To a point, but that ignores ticket splitting. Lots of R Kemp voters didn't vote for Walker. And that looks to be the difference. State level Rs won all over the ballot in Georgia. Walker is a uniquely bad candidate.
  10. Yes. They start counting early. Its actually a good way of doing business.
  11. Extreme progressive groups came up with the phrase, not mainstream Dems. That's a key distinction to make.
  12. They did a terrible job of defining what that meant and Rs painted them into a corner. Defunding the police doesn't mean abolishing the police. But Ds were AWFUL at that message.
  13. I honestly think this is why Georgia has two Democratic Senators and Warnock may get re-elected. Statewide level races show that Georgia is still red with traditional Rs running. But the last two cycles, state Republicans there have run bad Trump-style candidates and are consistently losing. As a Dem voter, I'll take it, but Rs have shot themselves in the foot multiple times without learning the lesson.
  14. I'm not convinced DeSantis plays well outside of Florida. We have to start understanding that the dynamics of Florida are unique. What I see is that traditional candidates like Kemp in Georgia stand the best chance for Rs. He outperformed Walker by 7 points. For Dems, the message is invest in PA, WI, MI, MN, NC, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada. That's the pathway to 270 in 2024.
  15. It played a massive role. Voter turnout from 18-29 was through the roof and broke heavily for Dems (+29). Most of that is attributed to Dobbs.
  16. I highly recommend finding the box score from SMU/Houston last night. Pure insanity.
  17. I actually didn't mind the jet sweep. If Deal doesn't completely whiff on his block, its a first down conversion.
  18. It may have cost us a shot at a bowl, which for this team, would have been a massive accomplishment.
  19. Gutsy as hell showing from the boys tonight. Considering the circumstances, couldn't be prouder. If you can be at JHS next week, get your ass there and show this staff and team some appreciation. Very winnable game vs Aggie.
  20. Harsin retweeting a speech from the guy a lot of folks want to replace him is high comedy.
