I've seen Bama back into either the old BCS or the playoffs with some crazy luck a few times. However, Michigan will beat Iowa - they are in. Florida St will crush Louisville - they are in. Texas, who beat Bama, will beat OK St - they are in. And the winner of Oregon - Washington is in. I think even if Bama beats Georgia they are #5 looking in.

It sucks, but I think this is the bottom. I think even Alabama fans realize this. Saban is done soon and Auburn will soon have talent that Auburn should have. The closest Iron Bowl I can compare this to is 1997, when 3-8 Alabama played lights out in Jordan-Hare and should have won, but found a way to lose (stupidly called pass and fumble). This year, we were the bad team, and as bad teams often do - found a way to lose.

This realignment sucks. Football you are talking about maybe 6 travel games a year, but damn all the other sports, those athletes are going to get worn out flying across the country constantly (referring to the Big 10).

Evidently for PAC-10 games usually sections M through P are usually the visitors section. That area might be smaller for a team traveling from 2000 miles away. But everyone makes it abundantly clear that the stadium is usually half empty so get the cheapest ticket you can and sit anywhere.

None of this makes any sense. I am all for a playoff, but the existing regular season scheduling, conference championships, and bowl games have got to go. Just stop with the bowl games having anything to do with the playoffs. And if the SEC or Big 10 is just going to keep purging the best teams from other conferences..what is the point? Why not just have those 2 play for our own championship and let the other has beens play for theirs.
