  1. Yeah, i'm with you E, don't see this happening, especially with Mond & family waiting in the wings for A&M
  2. You're right it is fan speculation, that is why i said "i think" in my post.
  3. I agree, it shouldn't take 6 QBs to fill 2 spots, ideally; however, practically speaking sometimes you need more than 1 backup. I'm curious though, how would you solve this issue?
  4. i understand your perspective, i just think (maybe hope is a better word) that Barrett will really begin to establish himself next year, as he learns and gets reps. Maybe that is just "pie in the sky" IDK, But he seems like he has a confident, aggressive style that could translate into a good backup. I know the others you mentioned have their problems, but Sean wasn't a world beater at the first of the year and he has developed into a pretty good QB. Again, not sure, just being positive, which is my nature.
  5. It does seem the better Sean does this year, the less likely it is we get him. Not speaking as a matter of fact, just saying it would seem the young man may look in a different direction seeing as how Sean is having such a good year. Would really like to get the guy, his potential seems thru the roof. Either way, it looks like we will be fine next year, especially if Barrett matures and develops.
  6. Maybe he thinks it's a losing venture to try and go against such a ;large movement. It seems everyone immediately jumped on the accusations and didn't bother to give him the benefit of the doubt. I don't know if he's guilty or innocent, but it seems strange that Baylor would give him so much money if they had a strong case against him. Just saying. I'm sure he knew some of what was going on, but maybe not enough to take others word against his players. Whatever the truth is, we aren't looking at him, just possibly his son. Just trying to be objective in the absence of proof.
  7. Concerning this subject matter, i am still wondering why Baylor would settle with Art Briles, for so much money, if he was so blatantly guilty. I mean if he was that guilty, then why didn't they just fire him for cause?
  8. Just wondering if Sean's resurgence could lead him to look elsewhere, would really like to have this guy though.
  9. That may prove to be true, E however, you have to think some of H.S recruits may see something in that program that causes them to look elsewhere. Sometimes the general publics opinion about what they see on the field can have some bearing as well. I agree with what you're saying, i just think that there will be enough doubt caused by on the field perceptions that allow us to swoop in and grab some good talent. JMHO
  10. That's over the line, dude. Find a fully clothed photo of the girl if you wish to point out who she is.
  11. So, basically it seems we want Briles because of Stidham? If Briles comes to AU, how long would he stay? 1, maybe 2 years. Then we're looking for another OC. I know that can happen with any OC, however, if Gus is going to call the plays, it seems like it would be better to get a GOOD QB coach and have someone that develops the kind of QB Gus wants and leave him to call the plays. He probably needs to do that anyway.
  12. Discussing KB coming is a little premature isn't it? Lashley hasn't even been rumored to leave, has he?
  13. I think most of us agree that the players need coaching, your positivism in truly refreshing, though.
  14. Seems like it would more than likely affect Barrett than any of the other QBs.
  15. I hope you'll forgive for being a little suspicious about CGM knowing when a QB will be ready, considering the memory of Jeremy Johnson still lingering in my head. Gus blew that one, either he didn't see JJ wasn't ready or he ignored the warning signs. That falls directly on his shoulders. Hoping he's learned his lesson and will pay more attention to their progression.
  16. Agree completely CK was pretty good before he got to Ole Miss, he just got into some trouble at Clemson. But he did very well when he transferred to a Jr College. He does seem to be a hothead, though. Maybe without a stellar O line and very good receivers, some defense can inside his head and mess him up.
